Love Island star Kyle Ashman breaks his silence after being axed from the line-up following machete attack arrest

Love Island participant Kyle Ashman has finally spoken up about his unexpected departure from the ITV romance program before its premiere on Monday next week.

In line with recent news from The Sun, I find myself recalling an incident that occurred back in February involving a young man named Kyle, 23 years old, hailing from Stafford. A group of masked individuals forcefully entered a gathering which was serving as a wake, and proceeded to wield a machete in a violent attack against a father.

Kyle was one of two arrested by police but he was released with no further action.

According to reports, Kyle has affirmed that he played no part in the incident, yet decided to exit from the ITV program anyway.

He informed TopMob, “I completely assisted the police investigation and made sure they understood my absence of involvement in this occurrence.

‘I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation.’

In other developments, ITV stated that for private matters, Kyle won’t be joining the Love Island Villa as previously arranged.

On Tuesday, the cast for Love Island was revealed, which means that Kyle leaving the show might create disorder just before the premiere on Monday.

It’s been disclosed that the Sun informed authorities that Kyle was questioned about an attack, yet ITV declared ignorance of the situation and claimed he hadn’t been flagged during their contestant screenings.

On February 28, the 38-year-old victim almost lost his arm following a severe injury that required immediate hospitalization. He retained the limb for approximately two weeks during this period of medical care.

During the 15-minute assault at The White Eagle Club in Stafford, it’s said that another attendee was attacked with glass, someone else was struck with a metal rod, and two individuals were accidentally hit by a car.

Sources said the victim was attacked by three balaclava-clad thugs over an alleged £3,000 debt.

He sustained an injury from a sharp object, causing a significant cut and damaging his tendons, leaving him currently unable to operate a vehicle.

Last month, it was confirmed by the police that following an investigation, both Kyle and another person were freed without any additional actions taken against them.

According to a source, ITV wasn’t aware of Kyle’s previous history because no charges were brought against him, making it irrelevant in the thorough background checks conducted for Love Island.

It’s fair that he is now able to go back to the UK to tell his perspective, so those in charge decided it would be more suitable for him not to join the villa.

On Monday, Staffordshire Police announced that a 22-year-old resident of Stafford was taken into custody under suspicion of inflicting injuries and causing disturbances. Additionally, another 22-year-old man, also a local resident of Stafford, was apprehended on charges of causing disturbances.

‘Both were questioned in custody and bailed with conditions while our enquiries continue.’

Kyle, the water worker, maintains a minimal social media footprint, showcasing only a single photograph on his Instagram account.

Before announcing his leaving, Kyle mentioned he was searching for someone who is lively, self-assured, and authentic.

Kyle revealed that his killer tactic for impressing the ladies is showering them with compliments.
