Love Island star Harrison Solomon breaks his silence on his split from Lauren Wood as he admits he still has ‘a lot of love for her’ and the break up ‘will be difficult’

Love Island’s Harrison Solomon has publicly addressed his breakup with girlfriend Lauren Woods, following reports of the split in The Daily Mail.

The couple, who first met on the ITV2 show this summer, haven’t been seeing each other as much lately, and the distance has unfortunately caused problems in their relationship.

Harrison recently spoke publicly about his split with Lauren, sharing that he still cares for her deeply, but they struggled to make time for their relationship.

He told The Daily Mail that life has been incredibly busy since leaving the show.

Honestly, things just got so busy with work and travel that it became really tough for us to truly connect. I really didn’t want our relationship to suffer, and I don’t think my partner did either. We just needed to talk things through and figure out what was happening.

We’ve decided to go our separate ways after having an open and honest conversation, and we’re parting on good terms.

Things cooled off a little between us after the show, which is a shame, but we remain friends. I still care about her a lot and I genuinely hope she does well in the future.

Harrison shared that his close friend from Love Island, Harry Cooksley, has been a huge support system since they became friends on the show.

‘I’ve had conversations with him about it as well and he’s been there for me.

‘I went in obviously I found Lauren and I found H as well at the same time, as cringe as it sounds.

Harry has always been a great support, especially recently and during times when people were spreading rumors about us splitting up. I really appreciate him being there for me.

Harrison created a lot of drama in the villa with his complicated relationship involving both Lauren and Toni Laites from the US.

Toni went on to win the show with her now boyfriend Cach Mercer and has since relocated to London.

Harrison shared that he hasn’t had any contact with Tonia since they both left the villa. He said he hopes she’s doing well and is happy, but they haven’t spoken or seen each other since.

After Lauren was eliminated from the villa, Harrison abruptly left and faced significant criticism for how he had treated the women there.

Viewers strongly disapproved of his actions, and Women’s Aid also released a critical statement. They explained that his behavior contributes to a harmful environment where violence against women and girls is downplayed or accepted.

Four months later, looking back on everything, he said he understood the criticism he received while on the show.

It was definitely upsetting to see all of that after leaving the show, and to see how it impacted my family.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve definitely made mistakes, but I believe I’ve learned and improved because of them.

I’ve changed a lot in the past six months. All I can do now is learn and grow from what’s happened and from my experiences.

Lauren confirmed that she and Harrison have decided to end their romantic relationship, but they plan to stay friends because the split was friendly and agreed upon by both of them.

We have so many special memories together that are unique to us. As we move forward separately, we kindly ask for privacy.

Harrison quickly dismissed rumors in January that he might be joining the cast of Love Island All Stars.

He shared that he really enjoyed his time on Love Island this summer, but now he’s prioritizing work and personal growth. He plans to focus heavily on his career for the time being.

‘I’ve got a lot on at the moment so  it’s not really something that I’m thinking about.

I’m really focused on my work and personal growth right now. I feel like I’ve learned a lot from this experience, and I want to keep improving. I’m not really considering anything else at the moment.
