Love Island star Connor Durman announces he and girlfriend Ella Newton are expecting their ‘surprise’ first child as the overjoyed couple reveal baby’s gender in sweet clip

As I gaze upon these images of Connor, my heart swells with empathy and admiration. Here is a man who, much like me, has faced the daunting challenge of embracing change – albeit in different forms. His decision to undergo a hair transplant, while seemingly trivial to some, resonates deeply within me.

Love Island alum Connor Durman and his partner, Ella Newton, have shared the exciting news that they are welcoming their first baby – a delightful surprise!

30-year-old television personality, previously known for appearing on the ITV2 show during its winter season in 2020, and a skilled eyelash stylist shared an endearing video clip on Instagram yesterday.

Besides videos of family and friends receiving the news, they also recorded the instant when they found out they were having a son.

After slicing into their three-year-old relationship’s gender reveal iced cake, the pair found themselves deeply moved by the sight of blue sponge within.

Captioning the post: ‘Our little surprise due 2025…Can’t wait to meet you baby boy’.

Fellow Islanders flocked to comment, with Callum Jones saying: ‘I’m thrilled for you both! He’s got a double dose of espresso in his bottle.’

While Finley Tapp added: ‘Congratulations to you both mate’.

In 2020, during the debut of the winter season of Love Island, Connor, currently managing his own coffee business, initially joined the villa but got eliminated on the 15th day.

He coupled-up with Rochelle Humes’ sister Sophie Piper, with the couple dating for a number of months after they both left the show.

They had planned to move in together but they went their separate ways when lockdown started.

A source told The Sun at the time: ‘Things just fizzled out. They never even went official’.

The circumstances didn’t allow for it to begin due to the lockdown, and they mutually decided it would be best if they remained friends instead.

2022 saw Connor opting for a hair transplant, indicating that he had been pondering this cosmetic surgery for some time due to feelings of self-consciousness.

He wrote online: ‘I’ve been conscious of my hairline for a while, finally took the plunge and went for it.

I truly can’t express my gratitude enough towards @now.hairtime. They’ve simplified the whole process beyond what I had envisioned. I’m eagerly anticipating the final results!

In his pictures, Connor was seen pointing at his head after sheering his brown locks off.

One snap showed him looking in the mirror having had lines drawn on his head to mark his old hairline behind the one he would be left with after the transplant.

He previously sported a style which saw his hair brushed forward and swept to one side.
