Love Island sign Maura Higgins lookalike for new series who’s a pantomime actress from Dublin and calls herself the ‘modern day Bridget Jones’

For the upcoming season, Love Island has recruited a well-known panto star resembling Maura Higgins and she describes herself as a contemporary version of Bridget Jones.

Megan Forte Clarke, aged 24 from Dublin, who played one of the Ugly Sisters in Cinderella, is set to captivate viewers on ITV2 with her charismatic Irish personality, reminiscent of Love Island sensation Maura.

Megan possesses a unique characteristic that’s hard to overlook – a mark resembling the lightning bolt scar from Harry Potter, which she explains as having occurred when she slipped and tumbled down some steps.

1. The actress boasts a substantial fan base on TikTok, and it’s on this social media site where she portrays the character of Bridget, the unfortunate-in-love one.

ITV executives are anticipating that Megan might rekindle some of Maura’s enchanting Irish charm in the show when it airs again starting next Monday.

A reliable TV insider informed TopMob that Megan is an attractive and witty woman who, unfortunately, finds herself in an unfortunate romantic predicament at present. This makes her an ideal candidate for the Islander.

‘Comparisons to Maura are inevitable and if anything, Megan will see it as a huge compliment.

ITV hasn’t announced the participants for the villa this year, but since the show starts in a week, we shouldn’t have to wait much longer for the announcement.

Last Christmas, Megan performed her mime act at The Roses Theatre located in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

She perfected her skills by attending The Brighton Academy for the performing arts, and some of her performances can be found on the internet.

On her Instagram account, Megan shares details about her participation in pantomimes, an activity that’s followed by close to 4,000 people. Her page also features numerous photos of her in swimwear.

Additionally, she incorporates snapshots featuring herself along with a gang of friends, donning costumes reminiscent of the cast from the popular Channel 4 sitcom Derry Girls.

Megan is the latest new Islander to be revealed ahead of this summer’s series.

TopMob has approached ITV for comment. 

In this group, footballer Harry Cooksley and towering personal trainer Aaron Buckett lead the male contingent, while Shakira Khan and Sophie Lee are among the attractive women who will be featured.

Love Island returns to ITV next Monday with presenter Maya Jama at the helm.
