Love Island presenter Maya Jama's surprising new career move is revealed as she steps away from hosting duties for exciting role

Oh, what a thrilling turn of events! As a long-time fan who’s spent countless hours dissecting every pitch, note, and rhythm in the world of music, I couldn’t be more ecstatic about Maya Jama joining The Masked Singer UK panel!

It’s been announced that Maya Jama will take over as a judge on The Masked Singer UK, following the departure of Rita Ora from the position earlier in the year.

The host of Love Island, aged 30, who continues to lead the All Stars edition of the popular dating series, has secured an enticing role as a judge.

Maya is now part of the esteemed panel for the eagerly awaited next installment of The Masked Singer, which also includes Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan on the panel.

Maya expressed her excitement: “Being part of The Masked Singer team with Davina, Jonathan, and Mo, not forgetting Joel, promises a lot of enjoyable times ahead!

I’m eagerly anticipating discovering the identities behind those amazing costumes, enjoying their acts, and securing prime positions for the revelations of their true selves.

‘I’ve watched the show for a long time, so I’m definitely bringing my A-game to the panel!’

It’s announced that Joel Dommett will once again take on the hosting role for the popular series, debuted in 2020, where famous personalities perform undercover as singers, waiting to be identified by viewers.

Ever since, it has amassed an astonishing 37 million viewers, intrigued by the mystery of who lies beneath the mask.

A new group of well-known individuals will wear extravagant and intricate outfits to hide their identities, while performing songs for an audience and a panel of famous judges, in a competition setting.

In the realm of lifestyle and entertainment this year, I find myself walking a path illuminated by the footprints left by an impressive lineup of luminaries such as Dionne Warwick, NeYo, Richie Sambora, Michael Owen, Daisy May Cooper, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Sue Perkins, Glenn Hoddle, Pat Cash, Lorraine Kelly, Jason Manford, Jake Shears, Sir Lenny Henry, Joss Stone, and many others. It’s truly an honor to be in such esteemed company!

Katie Rawcliffe, the Chief of Entertainment & Daytime Programming at ITV, announced that “The Masked Singer” will return in 2025 and is expected to start the year off with an exciting explosion of entertainment.

The much-loved guessing game on TV is excited to introduce the captivating Maya Jama as a new addition to our detective team, which includes Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, and Joel Dommett. We can hardly contain our excitement!

Daniel Nettleton and Derek McLean, founders of Bandicoot TV, mentioned that when they chose to include an exciting element on their panel, they felt there was no one more suitable than Maya.

Although she’s renowned for her stylish appearances on magazine covers and is a fashion trendsetter, she’s also a music enthusiast with a deep knowledge that borders on nerdiness – a trait perfect for solving mysteries. We’re thrilled to announce her as the latest addition to our Masked Singer lineup!
