Love Island host Maya Jama reveals show’s FIRST EVER American bombshell as she receives teasing voicenote ahead of new series
On Saturdays, I stirred up excitement on Instagram by subtly hinting at Love Island‘s inaugural American contender. The captivating beauty, who sets hearts aflutter, is yet to make her grand entrance, but the anticipation is palpable!
30-year-old host of Love Island showcased her legs in a flowing white gown, and shared with followers that she had received an enigmatic voice message from a fresh islander who hasn’t yet been introduced.
At the outset of the video, Maya humorously repeated the catchphrase from the show: “Looks like I have a text… I was waiting for exactly this one.
After that, she heard a message that hinted playfully: “Hey Maya, I’ve got word that you’re seeking something with a twist. How about a vibrant American surprise? Prepare yourself, I’m en route.
The voice message didn’t disclose who they were, but it did make clear that, for the very first time, an islander from the United States will be joining Love Island UK in the villa.

Maya concluded the preview with a grin, remarking: “And here we have the delightful tunes of an American.
Earlier this week, Love Island officially announced the complete roster of participants set to join the forthcoming season.
On June 9th, the popular dating show on ITV2 is coming back, and it seems we can expect the typical blend of love conflicts, secret romances in bedrooms, and complex separations as the participants navigate their journey to the island.
2023’s contestants feature a person resembling Declan Rice, an individual who breathes fire, and someone with a striking resemblance to Maura Higgins. Notably, Maya will continue as host, having joined the hit dating show in January 2023.
2022 marks the tenth anniversary for this television series, and to commemorate the occasion, they’ve announced that there will be more surprises and unexpected events than ever before.
Over a period of time, this popular series on ITVX has been watched more than two billion times. Throughout its history, approximately 300 contestants, such as Olivia Attwood, Dani Dyer, Chris Hughes, and Molly-Mae Hague, have walked through the villa’s doors.
This week, it was disclosed that this year’s Love Island participants might encounter their former partners within the villa.
In conversation with The Sun, ITV’s Mike Spencer-Hayter remarked: “Here’s something I often note – when the show participants are freed from their contractual obligations, former partners tend to emerge. That’s usually when we see the shocking revelations.

They must proceed with the process, as we’ve prepared an impressive collection of potential game-changers. This group includes individuals who currently fly under the radar too.
The selection crew has been busy for some time, attending numerous functions and scouring various locations for potential candidates. I must say, they’ve truly excelled in their efforts. Rest assured, we still have some exceptional talents waiting in the wings.
Following Mike’s disclosure to The Mail, it has been announced that the initial week of the upcoming season will feature a significant event, as they plan to break conventional rules to add excitement to the popular program.
Previously, the audience was taken aback by an unexpected guest during the show last year. The beloved star of TOWIE, Joey Essex, aged 34, made his entry into the villa, which sparked a variety of reactions from viewers.
When questioned about the possibility of inviting another ex-reality TV personality or famous figure as a competitor this season, Mike hinted that something unexpected is on the horizon instead.
He mentioned that there won’t be any previous Love Island participants joining this season, but something exciting is planned for the first week. It won’t be another celebrity from a reality show like Joey Essex.
We’ve got an exciting first week lined up. It’s not about a famous face, but something entirely fresh. This year, the method of coupling among islanders is going to be different.
Instead of relying solely on audience appreciation, let’s continually make the show engaging. Feel free to break away from traditional rules a little.
Love Island is set to air on June 9 over on ITV2 and ITVX.
