During Tuesday evening’s episode of Love Island, Ben Holbrough faced criticism from viewers after his comment that Shakira Khan should be brought down a notch.

In a different scenario, the young taxi driver, aged 23, spoke up to the vibrant Toni following her move from Shakira in the premiere episode.

During one of their initial conversations, Ben playfully commented to Toni, saying, “You outshone Shakira; I believe she could use a bit of that.” This was in light of the situation where Toni might be at risk of being eliminated.

Toni quickly hit back: ‘I don’t want to talk about her I want to get to know you!’ 

Shakira, being currently single, needs to choose a suitor from among the boys tonight, or else she faces leaving the house.

It didn’t surprise me that Ben was making such an arrogant comment about Shakira. I couldn’t agree more with Toni for wanting to steer clear of the subject. Such foolishness from #LoveIsland contestants.

Harry replies: ‘It’s day two come on let’s keep it PG.’ 

After putting in the necessary effort, Shakira approaches Conor and they have a conversation. He expresses to her, “You caught me off guard because of your intense enthusiasm, but I get the sense that you’re not always like that – you seem relaxed and intelligent.

Shakira admits: ‘I love the Irish accent, it’s sexy! I’ve never dated an Irish guy.’
