ITV has announced that the new season of Love Island All Stars has been delayed because of the wildfires in South Africa.
The first episode of the show won’t air as planned on Monday. Wildfires have closed a nearby road, forcing the cancellation just days before the launch.
The upcoming season of the show, bringing back former contestants hoping to find love again, was scheduled to start filming this Saturday.
ITV has announced that filming has been postponed due to nearby wildfires. Production was initially halted as a precaution, and after evaluating the situation, they’ve determined it’s necessary to delay filming altogether.
The health and safety of everyone involved is our top concern, so we’ve decided to postpone the broadcast of Love Island: All Stars until a later date.
On Saturday, it was announced that the villa had been evacuated as a safety measure, and filming of the first episode had to be delayed.

There were reports that show producers were rushing to get everything ready for the first episode, but it’s now official: Monday’s episode has been cancelled.
Oh my god, you will NOT believe this! I just saw the news – there’s a wildfire near the Love Island villa! Apparently, ITV had to evacuate everyone as a safety precaution. Can you imagine?! My faves, all potentially in danger! It’s terrifying, but at least they’re getting them to safety. I’m seriously glued to my phone for updates, hoping everyone is okay. This is insane!
High temperatures, changing winds, and a long period of dry weather have fueled several wildfires in the Western and Eastern Cape provinces.
People living in Zwartenbosch, Oyster Bay Road, Kromme River, and Riverside areas of the Eastern Cape had to leave their homes due to fires. Fires also started in Mossel Bay, which is in the Western Cape.
The Love Island villa is actually the Ludus Magnus Estate, situated around an hour outside of Cape Town in South Africa’s Western Cape province.
This announcement follows the Daily Mail’s exclusive report on the show’s cast, which features two previous champions, two celebrities with famous parents, and a contestant still dealing with a very public breakup.
The women participating are Whitney Adebayo, age 28, Millie Court, 29, Belle Hassan, 27, Helena Ford, 29, Jess Harding, 25, and Leanne Amaning, 28.
The women will choose to pair up with one of six new men: Ciaran Davies (23), Jack Keating (26), Sean Stone (26), Tommy Bradley (22), Charlie Frederick (31), or Shaq Muhammad (27).

Maya, the host of Love Island: All Stars, recently shared news about her health after having to miss the show’s launch event. The 31-year-old had to pull out just days before the popular ITV2 dating series was set to begin.
She revealed on Instagram Monday night that she was feeling very sick with the flu during her 12-hour flight to South Africa.
Smiling slightly, she took a selfie before heading to bed, excited for her flight to Cape Town where she’d be hosting Love Island.
Maya mentioned she’s been taking vitamins to help her immune system and hopes getting some sunshine will make her feel better.
She used to pass the time on flights by drinking and chatting with the flight attendants, but this year she’s choosing a healthier approach.
I unexpectedly came down with the flu and it’s been rough the past 24 hours. I’m loading up on Vitamin C and hoping to feel better soon! Next up: South Africa!
