Love Island: All Stars contestant Olivia Hawkins says she’s ‘tired’ of being branded a villain and admits her dating life has worsened since her first villa stint

Love Island Contestant Olivia Hawkins Expresses Fatigue Over Being Labeled a “Villain” and Clarifies Her Confidence Has Been Misconstrued.

A 29-year-old woman who recently returned home confesses that she has not yet engaged in a lasting romantic partnership, and she believes her love life has become even more challenging following her appearance on the program in 2023.

During the run of her show, Olivia encountered criticism from viewers who perceived her as manipulative, given her conflicts with fellow cast members and the polarizing nature of her straightforward views, which left audiences divided.

She doesn’t intend to return to the villa with a revised strategy, expressing her desire to make new experiences and perhaps, for the first time, encounter the man who could be her dream partner.

She informed TopMob: ‘I consider myself a self-assured young woman, not one who intentionally seeks out drama or aims to be a contentious figure.’

I consider myself a self-assured individual, ready to handle any challenges in the villa as they come up. Am I always portrayed as a villain? It can be exhausting, that label. Truthfully, I’m just being myself, and not everyone will necessarily like me, which is natural and okay for everyone. Everyone has their own opinions, especially when it comes to reality TV, and that’s perfectly fine.

I won’t have a preconceived strategy; instead, I’ll approach the situation authentically. It seems unlikely to me that someone could successfully stick to a game plan for very long.

Olivia mentions that it would bring joy to her family if she finds someone during the show, as she hasn’t been in a relationship yet and this year marks her 30th birthday.

Even though Olivia values her independence greatly, she confidently asserts that she’s prepared to encounter her soulmate and establish a romantic partnership permanently.

She mentioned that if she were to arrive with a partner someday, everyone – friends and family alike – would likely be thrilled beyond belief. After all, she’s never experienced a romantic relationship before, so having someone special to introduce at home would undoubtedly be a pleasant change for her.

Ever since that show ended, my dating life has taken a downturn. I haven’t had many dating experiences recently, choosing instead to focus on personal growth. While I’ve always been independent and self-reliant, spanning back through my 20s, the time feels right now for me to find a partner and start settling down.

Instead of most women her age, Olivia shares that she hasn’t ventured into finding a partner through dating apps, and she openly acknowledges that lowering her defenses is challenging for her.

She stated: “I haven’t used any dating apps. I prefer meeting people face-to-face, either through personal encounters or by introductions from my friends.

I’ve been struggling to open up and allow others closer, as trust doesn’t come easily for me. However, I’m gradually lowering my defenses, and I sense that I’m prepared now to let more people into my life.

Despite encountering unfavorable feedback online during her 2023 show appearance, the actress expresses no remorse or hesitation as she prepares to re-enter the villa for another round.

Olivia, who has lived solo throughout adulthood, can rest assured that an unwelcome ex-partner won’t unexpectedly show up at her doorstep.

She stated: “I don’t dwell on regrets; instead, I focus on doing what I desire right now, based on my feelings, and that’s simply the way things have played out.

For approximately two months, I encountered some truly extraordinary individuals who have become dear friends of mine. It’s almost unbelievable that I get another chance to experience this, and it’s truly astonishing. To top it all off, finding a husband here would be the cherry on top of an already fantastic situation.

‘I don’t have any exes from the show either, so I don’t have anything to worry about.’
