Love Is Blind’s Lauren and Cameron Celebrate Baby News After Heartbreaking Fertility Battle!
Love Is Blind pair Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton are anticipating the arrival of their first child, having faced fertility challenges for a span of four years.
The pair, who first crossed paths during Season One of the Netflix romance series back in 2020, shared their exciting news about expecting a child in an endearing video that traced their tale – from their initial encounter to their wedding, and now, their journey into parenthood through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
We simply looked into each other’s eyes. I knelt down and cried.
‘It’s been a long time coming. We’ve literally been trying to get pregnant for four years.’
34-year-old Hamilton shared her anticipation before taking a pregnancy test, saying: ‘We were eagerly awaiting the day for the test since we had undergone IVF. We knew this was the day, and despite having a blood test scheduled later, we couldn’t resist checking sooner.’

Currently, in her second trimester, Speed expressed that her unborn child serves as a “beacon of hope” for her family following the loss of her father during Christmas in 2024.
She said: ‘The spark that my whole family needed. We’ve been trying for a long time.
It held a mix of sadness and joy since my father wasn’t present in person, but we believed he was watching over us. This moment left us feeling astonished, thankful, joyous, and elated. Then it suddenly dawned on us – we were going to be parents! Oh my goodness!
In this rephrased version, a popular Netflix show centered around 30 individuals – male and female – who formed bonds in various groups without ever meeting face-to-face. Throughout this blind-dating experience, the contestants had the freedom to express their feelings and propose marriage whenever it felt right for them.
After getting engaged, they were granted their initial encounter, leading to a romantic trip to Mexico, sharing a new home together, and meeting each other’s families before their upcoming wedding within a few days.
In the grand spectacle of thirty amorous duos, the journey of love didn’t culminate in a fairy-tale finale, leaving merely five smitten pairs embarking on their passionate adventure at the idyllic Mexican getaway.
The happy couple tied the knot on November 14, 2018, Lauren’s 31st birthday.
On the initial day of filming the premiere season of Love Is Blind, the previous competitors encountered one another. Remarkably, even though they didn’t physically meet each other for a whole month, they assert that they had both developed feelings of deep affection almost instantly.
In just a few short days following their initial encounter, Cameron asked for Lauren’s hand in marriage, to which she responded affirmatively. It turned out that she had almost lost hope in finding her own happily ever after until she met her ‘prince’.

The emotional ceremony included plenty of tears and laughter as vows were exchanged
Before gracing Love Is Blind, Lauren managed a marketing firm in her birthplace, Detroit. Now, she co-hosts the widely listened-to podcast “We Have the Receipts” alongside comedian Chris Burns, where they discuss and recap the thrilling reality series on Netflix.
From Maine originates Hamilton, a distinguished scientist and founder of the artificial intelligence firm Alliance AI (established in 2019). In his spare time, he pursues his passions for maintaining physical fitness and culinary arts.
