Love Is Blind fans sink claws into ‘walking red flag’ star – raging ‘I can’t stand him’ and urging his match to ‘let him go’ after comment about her weight
As someone who has navigated the treacherous waters of modern dating for far too long, I must say, Sam is giving me some serious pause. The red flags are waving boldly and fiercely like a warning sign on a stormy sea.
On Wednesday, viewers of Love Is Blind: UK labeled one participant as a ‘glaring warning sign,’ advising his partner to end things with him following his remark about her weight.
In the wee hours of Wednesday, the initial four episodes of the popular dating series on Netflix (UK version) were premiered.
The show centers around fifteen individuals who participate in a unique dating format, spending ten days getting to know each other within specialized pods without ever catching a glimpse of each other’s faces. If by the end of this period, one person proposes, they then spend a week together at a romantic retreat.
After that, they shift into an apartment for a span of three weeks, where they organize their upcoming weddings in collaboration with friends and relatives. However, it’s not until they stand at the altar on their wedding day that they make the decision about whether or not to proceed with a legal marriage.
On a Wednesday, the audience met Sam, aged 31, a product design manager residing in London, but their reactions fell short of enthusiasm.
In a complex romantic situation, Sam finds himself caught between Benaiah, a 33-year-old structural landscaper from Preston, and Nicole, a 29-year-old marketing head from Surrey.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share my excitement about the extraordinary turn of events. I triumphantly outmaneuvered Benaiah in our pursuit, but let me tell you, there was a peculiar moment with Nicole that left me rather perplexed. Despite everything else, she uttered something so odd, it was almost surreal.
I expressed: “I’m eagerly looking forward to rushing over to give you a kiss and a hug.” However, Nicole became anxious and responded: “Perhaps you won’t be able to…”
I found myself questioning, “Was she hinting at something?” as I’m a carnivore, it’s okay if someone has a slightly different preference…
Sam concluded: ‘It’s just a weird thing to say.’
Benaiah quickly informs Nicole of Sam’s comments and she decides to end the engagement.
Nicole expressed in a private moment that although Sam and she were supposed to attend the retreat, it seemed somewhat off or uneasy.
