A new Turkish mini-series based on Orhan Pamuk’s acclaimed 2008 novel, Museum of Innocence, is coming to Netflix in February. The novel, which won the Nobel Prize in Literature, has been praised for its moving story of a difficult love affair and its beautiful depiction of Istanbul. Amazon describes it as a “deeply moving portrait,” while The Guardian called it “enthralling” and “immensely enjoyable.”
The new nine-episode series will be available to stream on Netflix worldwide starting February 13th. Given the book’s popularity, it’s expected to be a popular choice for a weekend binge-watch. Netflix has already shared a trailer introducing the main characters: Kemal, played by Selahattin Paşalı, and Füsun, played by Eylül Lize Kandemir.
Netflix describes the series as a complex and emotional story about love, joy, intense desire, regret, and what could have been, focusing on a passionate but difficult relationship. The drama, set in 1970s Istanbul, follows Kemal, who is deeply in love and obsessively collects mementos of his beloved – everything from earrings and hair clips to even her used cigarette butts.

Starring Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung, the South Korean series, Can This Love Be Translated?, follows Ho-jin, a translator, as he encounters up-and-coming actress Mu-hee during a work trip to Japan.
The Netflix movie People We Meet on Vacation is still popular with viewers after being released on January 9th. We gave it 3 stars and recommended it for fans of the series One Day.
