Louise Thompson hopes to have another baby in 2026, despite nearly losing her life during the difficult birth of her first child.
Oh my god, I was SO worried about Millie Mackintosh! Can you believe she almost died giving birth to her little Leo-Hunter in 2021? It was a super scary emergency C-section, and apparently, she lost, like, twelve and a half litres of blood! Seriously, it was terrifying to read about, I’m just so glad she and the baby are okay.
Following her life-threatening experience, she developed PTSD and postpartum anxiety. She has also been diagnosed with Lupus and Asherman’s syndrome, experienced another hemorrhage, and now relies on a stoma bag.
Louise has openly shared her difficulties adjusting to motherhood while also healing from a challenging birth experience.
However on New Year’s Eve Louise shared that she is hoping to ‘expand her family’
She’s optimistic about the year ahead, hoping for good health, personal growth, and financial success. She’s excited for new experiences and is hopeful that her family will grow.

The celebrity hinted at a new Substack post coming out on Saturday, revealing the title: ‘all I want for 2026 is a baby’.
After the difficult birth of her son, Leo, Louise became emotionally withdrawn and was placed on suicide watch as a result.
Last year, her fiancé Ryan Libbey shared the difficult details of her struggle with postpartum depression.
On Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Ryan, age 34, revealed they had to bring in a crisis team to regularly check on his wife, as she was struggling with her mental health and had become completely withdrawn.
That’s really frightening, and I’m still trying to come to terms with it. I immediately knew I needed to look at it from a different perspective.
It was heartbreaking to realize Louise was suffering, and I didn’t fully grasp what she was going through at the time.
He went on to explain that she was clearly in shock, and had become so overwhelmed that she simply gave in to what was happening.
She had lost, and it made sense. She must have been completely worn out, and her body was likely changed and achy.

I could understand someone needing to lie on the sofa, lost in thought, for days or weeks. But what I really struggled with was the situation we were in – her wanting to end her life, and not seeming to care for or even recognize her baby. Looking back, it all felt so overwhelming and difficult to grasp at the time.
Oh my gosh, I was so worried when I heard Louise had to spend Christmas Eve in the hospital! It’s just awful knowing she’s still struggling with her health. But she’s amazing, and so grateful to the NHS for everything they’re doing for her. Honestly, they’re angels, and I’m just sending all my love and hoping she feels better soon!
She recently shared a photo of herself in a hospital gown with her fans, explaining she’d had a proctoscopy. She described it as similar to a colonoscopy, but less invasive since she doesn’t have a colon, limiting how far the camera could go.
‘Still bloody awkward and a tiny bit uncomfortable but fentanyl is a wonder drug.’
Louise shared another photo showing her wearing a nasal cannula, a tube inserted into her nostrils.
Oh my gosh, she was telling me about how she snagged this appointment, and it was SO last minute, but she grabbed it immediately when they offered December 24th! Honestly, it didn’t even hit me until the day actually arrived just how huge it was – Christmas Eve! I mean, can you believe it? She was so lucky to get in at all, let alone on Christmas Eve!
The TV personality sang the praises of the NHS, thanking them for ‘running in full swing’.
Even with everything I’ve faced, I’m still amazed by how lucky we are to have the NHS, which is always there for us in emergencies.
‘The NHS never sleeps,’ Louise continued in the next following Instagram story.

‘I had a proctoscope today. A nice little Christmas Eve camera up my bum.
‘The NHS was still running in full swing. Well not quite, but you know what I mean.
Honestly, seeing everything just made me want to send a massive thank you to all the incredible people working for the NHS, especially over those busy bank holidays. They’re absolute heroes, and I just needed to express my gratitude – they deserve all the appreciation in the world!
The former actress finished by thanking everyone for maintaining essential services and protecting our families.
