Louise Redknapp: Eternal Reunion Impossible Due to Differing Beliefs

Louise Redknapp shared that she doesn’t foresee a reunion of Eternal due to the fact that their fundamental values have diverged.

Formed back in 1992, the group consists of Easther and Vernie Bennett, Kelle Bryan, and currently Louise (who is now 50 years old).

Fervent Christians Vernie and Easther are set to make their comeback, performing again at Scala in London on April 30. Interestingly, the performance won’t include original bandmates Louise Redknapp and Kelle.

Currently, Louise’s confirmation states that it’s highly unlikely for the group to come together fully again, given their contrasting ideologies.

She shared with NME: “There’s no resentment involved. Easther and Vernie Bennett are exceptionally gifted vocalists, and I feel privileged to have created the music that we did together.

As a lifestyle expert, I find myself at odds with some of Eternal’s core beliefs, which makes me doubt the possibility of a reunion. Yet, I ardently hope that they navigate their journey successfully, sending them my warmest wishes along the way.

In September 2023, Louise and Kelle withdrew from an Eternal reunion tour due to Vernie and Easther allegedly declining to perform at any scheduled LGBTQ+ concerts, citing concerns that the community was being “taken over” by the transgender movement.

A short while later, it was alleged that Louise attempted to have her previous bandmates discredited by presenting their opinions in a distorted manner.

In her recent interview, Louise expressed that there wasn’t a significant disagreement; instead, she stated, “That approach doesn’t align with me, I appreciate your viewpoint on it – but it’s not something I identify with. I take pride in advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and intend to keep doing so.

In my experience as a lifestyle expert, I can confidently say that the LGBTQ+ community has been an integral part of my journey to success. Without their unwavering support, I would not be where I am today. I stand steadfast in my beliefs and decisions, always grateful for the strong bond we share.

This situation is the result of ongoing friction that can be traced back to Louise leaving the band in 1995 to focus on a solo career and become the UK’s top sex symbol and a favorite among men’s magazines. This move reportedly caused some disapproval from the traditional Bennett sisters.

Although not known for her powerful vocals, Louise stood out as the main attraction in the band and gained popularity in men’s magazines during the ’90s. On numerous occasions, she graced the covers of FHM and Loaded, showcasing herself in various stages of undress.

During magazine interviews, the Bennett sisters gently communicated that their more sensual image wasn’t entirely comfortable for them, given their strong religious beliefs.

Louise departed in 1995 to launch her individual album titled “Naked,” allowing the group to continue without her, which they did quite successfully, scoring a series of chart-topping singles, among them their initial number one hit.

In the year 2000, they separated, however, they regrouped again in 2013 as a trio, excluding Louise. Last year on Loose Women, she made a significant comment about the disagreement regarding the reunion tour, hinting at the current state of her relationship with the Bennett sisters.

She expressed, “It’s something I’ve always wished for – reuniting with the girls. Our past memories hold a special place in my heart, and Kelle and I remain the closest of friends.

In a contrasting manner, Vernie appeared to contradict the assertions put forth by Louise’s group, expressing in a statement her gratitude for the opportunity to meet an array of unique and remarkable individuals from various backgrounds throughout her professional journey.

Originally managed by Denis Ingoldsby, now known as Eternal’s representative, passionately defended Easther and Vernie – his current clients. Previously, he strongly asserted that they were left ‘heartbroken’ following an incident, accusing Louise’s team of distorting facts within a confidential email’s details.

He informed Sky News, “Louise and her group have left others in a difficult position by pushing them under the proverbial bus, and everyone is utterly shocked and dismayed by their aggressive behavior, which distorted the facts to serve their interests.

The girls emailed Louise’s camp expressing their affection for the game Pride, as well as the principles of the gathering.

It’s completely unacceptable for their stance to be implied as discriminatory towards the LGBTQ+ community. This has nothing to do with gay rights.

Denis indicated to the mirror that no definite or scheduled dates had been arranged yet for the reunion. However, Louise’s team has refuted this claim to the media outlet.

He mentioned that Vernie voiced some worries about the Pride movement potentially being taken over, and it’s important to note that she isn’t the only one with such concerns. Unfortunately, these concerns have since been used against her, as Louise’s group attempts to undermine her reputation.

Louise’s representative, Simon Jones, has affirmed their earlier statements, clarifying to the media: ‘Denis Ingoldsby did not participate in the talks regarding the Eternal reunion involving all four members during the past two years. Easther and Vernie can spin it as they see fit.’

Regardless, it’s clear that the pair have expressed their condition for the Eternal reunion – they will not participate if there are any Pride or LGBTQ+ events involved.

It’s clear that Louise wouldn’t support the idea of leaving out the LGBTQ+ community in our travel itinerary. As a group, we firmly believe in inclusivity and reject any notion of segregating or excluding individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, particularly transgender people.

He added: ‘Absolutely nothing has been misrepresented.

It was clearly stated that the eternal union between Louise and Kelle will not proceed for certain reasons.

It’s true that an email was written stating that Vernie and Easther would participate in the Eternal reunion under the condition that there would be no Pride or LGBTQ+ events as part of the arrangement.

It’s clear Louise wouldn’t consent to leaving out the LGBTQ+ community from the band’s touring arrangements. Consequently, she informed the duo that she would choose not to participate.

Louise indicated her choice to withdraw from the tour by posting the Progress Pride Flag on her Instagram Stories with the caption: ‘Forever and always.’

The flag, designed in 2018, is a work of art by the non-binary creator Daniel Quasar, and it heavily borrows from the well-known rainbow flag that originated in 1978.

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but be moved by the striking blend of black, brown, and blue stripes. These bold colors symbolize the resilience and presence of marginalized individuals within the LGBTIQ+ community of color. The harmonious trio of blue, pink, and white, on the other hand, stands tall as a testament to the transgender flag, a beacon of hope and unity for all who identify under its banner.

Back in the ’90s, they catapulted into fame, and for the following year, they had been arranging an extensive reunion tour. The tour was set to feature shows at Pride and Mighty Hoopla as its main attractions.

The two celebrations honor the LGBTQ+ community; nevertheless, it seems that the band members Easther and Vernie found issue with the announced performance dates.

It came to light that Louise and her group had been informed by Vernie and Easther that they wouldn’t participate in any events related to Pride celebrations or LGBTQ+ festivals.

According to Louise’s representative, a communication was made to the planning group for the Eternal reunion, indicating that if the event were to occur, neither Vernie nor Easther would take part in Pride events or celebrations focused on the LGBTQ+ community.

They expressed this viewpoint due to their belief that the LGBTQ+ community was being taken over by the transgender community, which is a development they don’t endorse.

Louise firmly advocates for and stands alongside the LGBTQ+ community. She, along with Kelle, made it clear that they wouldn’t collaborate with individuals harboring such views. Consequently, due to this stance, their planned reunion as a quartet will not take place.

The group organizing the potential Eternal reunion identifies as gay, encompassing their management, public relations, and tour promotion. I, along with the entire team, have made a commitment not to collaborate with artists whose opinions regarding the trans community are unfavorable.

Louise has performed as a solo artist at many Pride events over the years.

The Eternal tour marked the reunion of the original band members, who hadn’t played together since Louise left in 1995 to focus on her solo endeavors.

They soared to stardom in the early nineties with hits such as Stay and I Wanna Be The Only One.

After Louise left the group, they continued for another five years as a band, then disbanded and re-formed on ITV’s The Big Reunion in 2014, without her being part of it.
