Louis Vuitton is celebrating ten years of partnership with UNICEF by releasing the Unity Time Object. The collaboration began in Los Angeles in 2016 and has since raised over $28 million for vulnerable children through the Silver Lockit jewelry line and employee fundraising. The new design takes inspiration from Louis Vuitton’s famous 1998 World Cup soccer ball, symbolizing global unity and a lasting commitment to helping young people around the world. This launch is part of a larger effort by the brand to also focus on supporting gender equality and empowering women.
Creating this clock involved close teamwork between Louis Vuitton’s La Fabrique du Temps and the Swiss watchmaking experts at L’Épée 1839. Instead of a traditional face, it tells time using two golden cylinders that spin within a visible frame. The hours and minutes are shown by sparkling diamond markers that catch the light as they move. A total of 144 white diamonds mark the hours, while 120 black diamonds show the minutes, adding up to around 1.03 carats of diamonds. The clock’s inner workings, including engraved screws and plates with the LV logo, are intentionally left exposed. It’s a manual-winding clock, meaning it needs to be wound by hand each day – a personal ritual that offers a different experience from simply checking a digital clock.
A stunning new timepiece was unveiled during the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 show in Paris. The watch is presented in a special trunk made with the brand’s iconic Monogram canvas and brass details, inspired by Louis Vuitton’s historic Trophy Trunks. This transforms telling time into something special. Before being offered in a 10-day online auction benefiting UNICEF, the piece will be displayed in New York. This approach – combining luxury with charitable giving – reflects a change in how people view luxury goods, where making a positive social impact is just as important as the product itself.
