Louis Tomlinson fans go wild as they spot the One Direction heartthrob’s appearance in Waterloo Road as a teenager pre-fame

Fans of Louis Tomlinson were excited to discover that the singer appeared on the TV show Waterloo Road when he was younger. Pictures of his teenage role surfaced on Thursday, causing a buzz among followers.

You might be surprised to learn that before becoming a famous singer, I actually had a small role on a popular BBC drama way back in 2006! I played a schoolboy in the very first series – it feels like a lifetime ago!

To mark its 20th anniversary, the soap opera discovered a very brief appearance by Louis – he was an extra playing in a playground scene.

Sharing the clip to Instagram, the BBC asked: ‘Do you think he was scared of Janeece?’

The video shows Louis looking worried in the background of the school playground while Janeece Bryant and Donte Charles were arguing.

To help viewers catch the quick, four-second cameo, the video has been slowed down with the question: ‘Can you find Louis Tomlinson from One Direction in Waterloo Road?’

Viewers were stunned by a surprise appearance and shared their reactions online, with many saying they hadn’t spotted it before. Comments included expressions of disbelief like, “I can’t believe I missed that!” and simply, “Wow, it’s him!”

Before becoming famous with One Direction on the X Factor in 2010, Louis Tomlinson had already been working as an actor, taking on small parts in various productions.

Besides Waterloo Road, Louis also starred in Kay Mellor’s Fat Friends with James Corden and Lisa Riley, and the film If I Had You.

Louis recently shared a story about a job he had before becoming famous, during an interview with Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2.

He confirmed he used to work at Toys R Us, and said it was one of his favorite jobs. He really enjoyed it, specifically working with the technology side of things.

My job was mostly technical – I gave demonstrations of new technology to people. It was around the time DJ Hero came out, you might remember it was similar to Guitar Hero.

I spent most of my workday showing other customers how things work. It was a job I really enjoyed, I truly did.

As a huge fan, I was really worried when Louis started tweeting about being ‘terrified’ of going on tour. It all seemed to come after he publicly called out Harry Styles right when their new music was released – it felt like a really tough situation for everyone involved, and honestly, it’s been so stressful to watch.

According to sources speaking with Daily Mail, Liam Payne was surprised to discover that Harry Styles’ new song, “Aperture,” was coming out on the same day as his album, “How Did I Get Here?”

Okay, so Louis just opened up on Twitter, and honestly, it was so raw! He was talking about how terrified he was before his last two tours, like, seriously anxious. And now, with his new tour starting in Germany on March 23rd, he’s sharing all of this! It’s just… amazing to see him be so real about it all. I’m already obsessed and the tour hasn’t even started!

The performer expressed strong confidence about his upcoming concerts, but admitted he used to be overly critical of his past performances. This prompted an outpouring of supportive messages from his fans.

Louis had asked his fans to support his new album, hoping it would get the attention he felt it deserved, especially since it was released on the same day as a new song by Harry.

Harry and Louis have had a complex relationship, and despite rumors of a falling out when One Direction ended in 2016, both have said those reports aren’t true.

Louis recently shared that he’s been taking some time for himself, which is why he hasn’t been as active online lately. He expressed deep gratitude to his followers for their continued support.

I’m incredibly excited about the upcoming tour! It really hit me today how much we’ve accomplished. I went to the Crypto Arena to take care of a few things and felt so proud of how far we’ve come…

I just know these next moments are going to be incredibly powerful and meaningful – truly special and raw. I’m overwhelmed with emotion today, feeling so sentimental about everything.

My first tour was incredibly nerve-wracking. I was very self-critical, which created a strange mix of emotions each night – the excitement of performing and connecting with the audience, combined with constantly putting myself down. While I had some amazing shows and gained confidence, it was still a really challenging experience for my mental health.

The second tour felt different – I was much more confident with the music. The album was actually created with live performances in mind, but I definitely had moments, especially on some nights, where I doubted myself.

Around the halfway point of the tour, I realized I needed to accept my success and believe in my own abilities. It was like a moment of self-recognition where I gave myself permission to thrive independently.

Being thankful is wonderful, but I also felt a lot of pressure to perform well for everyone every night and didn’t let myself make mistakes. That change in how I approached things was really key for me.

Honestly, the final show of that tour was incredible – it totally blew me away. It really made me think about everything I’ve accomplished, and I never thought we would get to this point. It’s still hard to believe!

We’re now beginning the third tour, and I have a strong feeling it’s going to be great!

Okay, seriously, forget any cynical thoughts you might have about promoters trying to sell tickets. This isn’t that. I know this show is going to be incredible, and I truly, deeply believe in it. I’ve never felt so confident about anything we’re putting on – it’s just… different. I’m completely obsessed and I want everyone to experience it!

To my fans: please know that your support truly means the world to me and my career. I’ll admit, I sometimes doubt myself, but knowing you’re there always makes me feel safe and secure, especially when things get tough.

Okay, seriously, I’m losing my mind waiting for these concerts! Will it be some unbelievably perfect, legendary performance? Probably not. Will it break every sales record ever? Honestly, I doubt it. But I’m still going to be there, front row, screaming my head off because even a normal show from them is everything to me!

Will the performance involve displaying lyrics on paper, like concerts used to before teleprompters became common? It’s a thought.

This will be a time for everyone to celebrate our progress. That’s all I wanted to share – just a quick update on my thoughts.

After Louis shared his thoughts, many fans quickly responded with encouragement. They reminded him of his large and dedicated fanbase, offering unwavering support and expressing excitement for potential tour dates in Australia.

‘How silly! I loved that tour, it was really great in many ways;’

You did it! We’re constantly amazed by you. Your music and performance are incredible, and the connection you create with your audience means the world to so many people. We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished.

Loui, we’re all really proud of you and believe in you completely. Don’t ever doubt yourself – this is going to be incredible! I’m so excited and planning to come see you perform four times, especially on the 23rd. You’re doing great!

‘Positive thoughts Louis. We are here for you every tour.’

Following the release of his album, Louis seemed to realize he was in a tight race for the top spot and asked his 28.8 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) to help him stand out.

He wrote that he’ll need our help over the next few days to focus on what matters. It’s time to really give this album the attention it deserves!

People immediately commented, wondering if the singer was subtly criticizing his old bandmate, Harry.

Someone posted “cut through the noise,” and it reminded me of Harry Styles. It seems like they’re playfully accusing him of being shady, saying something like, “Is he trying to throw shade? Oh, Harry Styles, I’m onto you!”

Okay, so Louis hasn’t said anything about what everyone’s claiming about Harry – it’s killing me! But he did post something, a quick ‘thank you’ to all of us who’ve been sticking by him. It’s not much, but it’s something, right? I’m just… desperate for him to address it all, but I get why he might not want to. Still, that ‘thank you’ felt… important. I’m analyzing every single thing he does, obviously.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my career. Your support means the world to me and is reflected in everything I create.

I couldn’t have created this album without your incredible support and belief in me. I’m so grateful – thank you from the bottom of my heart! It’s amazing to even be here, making music.
