Louis Tomlinson and Sam Thompson continue Soccer Aid training together after One Direction star started dating TV personality’s ex Zara McDermott

On Saturday, Louis Tomlinson and Sam Thompson carried on with their Soccer Aid practice sessions jointly. This comes after Louis began dating Sam’s former partner.

Sam, aged 32, maintains that no bitter sentiments remain between them, even though his former girlfriend Zara McDermott, 28, swiftly started dating a singer, 33, shortly after they parted ways in December.

On the field at Champneys in Tring, the duo appeared cheerful during their training session, gearing up for the upcoming match set to occur on Sunday.

Due to a series of injuries, such as a calf injury, suffered during the 260-mile Soccer Aid event, Sam is regretfully unable to participate in the upcoming match.

Rather than participating in the game, he’ll now be assisting from the sideline, serving as a coach, due to his injury.

Meanwhile, Zara swerved the Soccer Aid drama on Friday and visited her parents’ house instead.

Posting a picture on her Instagram Story featuring her cat Zara, she expressed: ‘Heading home for the day means plenty of hugs from mom and dad.’

On the recent episode of This Morning aired on Friday, Sam announced the unfortunate fact that he wouldn’t be participating in the charity match scheduled for this coming Sunday, 15th of June.

Host Alison Hammond, aged 50, showed great concern about his wellbeing and asked, “Have you managed to heal up well? How have you been lately?

Sam responded: “I’m still quite achy, my calf is still torn, but I’m currently at Soccer Aid HQ, and let me tell you, it doesn’t get any better than this.

The English management team remains unchanged, we also have Vicky McClure, Tyson Fury taking on a fresh role, and there’s Harry Redknapp as well.

Dermot asked: “Given your current condition, it seems clear that you won’t be playing this season, as you appear to be in pieces. Is that correct? You’re not participating as a player, but are part of the coaching staff, right?

Sam mentioned that he arrived with great expectations, visited Gary the physiotherapist, and now can even kick a ball from a stationary position. However, when it comes to the unpredictable nature of competing in sports, he feels completely incapable.

‘I cant really run properly so yeah.

They showed great kindness and assured me that I would still be included, which means I’ll join forces with Tyson Fury on the more challenging or mysterious aspects.
