Lou Teasdale is supported by Andy Carroll as she leads ‘Let’s Kill Suicide’ campaign five years on from the tragic death of her best friend Caroline Flack

In London, Lou Teasdale received backing from her partner, Andy Carroll, during her leadership of the ‘Let’s Fight Suicide’ movement.

Five years have passed since the tragic suicide of Caroline Flack, Lou’s close friend, occurred during a challenging time involving an upcoming court case and accusations of assaulting her boyfriend, Lewis Burton.

Hair stylist Lou, serving as the global ambassador for the suicide prevention charity Body and Soul, held a campaign event along the River Thames in London.

On Tuesday night, Lou was observed standing at a distance over the water, witnessing as the phrases ‘Choose love instead of suicide’ and additional words were displayed onto the facades of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and St Thomas’ Hospital.

For the nighttime occasion, she had her boyfriend Andy by her side, who posted a selfie from the event with the caption: “Today holds great significance for me, and I’m incredibly proud to be involved in it with you.

During a conversation with Greatest Hits Radio News regarding the campaign, Lou expressed his thoughts: “For me personally, and those dear ones I’ve tragically lost, it’s heartbreaking to imagine how different things might be if they were still around.

Wondering about their path and potential changes, it’s truly heartbreaking to imagine where these individuals might have ended up and the lives they could have led, had they still been among us. For their loved ones, it’s a bitter reality that they are no longer present.

‘It’s just such a wasted death.’

In a tragic turn of events, the popular Love Island host Caroline was discovered deceased at her residence located in North East London on the 15th of February, 2020. The circumstances surrounding her death were determined to be a suicide during an inquest that took place in August of the same year.

While Louis was away at the store, a tragic event occurred. The star unexpectedly took Caroline’s life just minutes after Louis stepped away from their property.

When Lou could not regain access to Caroline’s home, she called her father Ian, who found her.

This past Valentine’s Day, Andy presented Lou with an emotionally moving portrait of the deceased broadcaster as an early-year gift.

In a heartwarming Valentine’s Day surprise, the footballer purchased a piece of artwork depicting her friend who had passed away (Caroline), this masterpiece was crafted by renowned artists known as The Connor Brothers.

The painting showcases half of Caroline’s face against a crimson backdrop, along with her touching statement, “‘In a world full of possibilities, always choose kindness.’

The signed print is up for grabs at the Yield Gallery for £1,250, and Lou was left feeling overwhelmed after Andy purchased it for her.)

In a simple and conversational manner: Lou posted a photo on her Stories saying, “Thanks to my valentine ♥.

During her visit to The Connor Brothers’ studio, where she was scheduled for a commissioned portrait, Caroline ended up creating an artwork, which marked her final photoshoot.

Approximately two years past, Caroline Flack visited our studio for a portrait photography session, as she planned to commission the artwork.

It was delightful collaborating with her, as her lively spirit and zest for living were hard to resist. Unbeknownst to us all, this photography session turned out to be Caroline’s final one.

Though our encounter with Caroline was brief, her charm and wit made an indelible impact on us. The sad news of her premature passing has deeply affected us.

In January, Lou posted a poignant message about suicide, asserting that she had done everything possible to assist Caroline during her battles with mental health issues.

Following her Instagram AMA, a follower messaged her saying, “When someone is determined to take their own life, there’s little that can deter them. Remember, you did everything you could.

Pondering back on her recent past, Lou shared: ‘Over the last decade, suicide has left a profound impact on my life. It’s something that impacts numerous individuals. If it isn’t oneself struggling, it’s someone in your circle. Presently, I am involved with an exceptional charity called Body and Soul.’

Based on my personal encounters with two close friends struggling with suicide multiple times without receiving necessary professional help from either the National Health Service (NHS) or private health sector, or even mental health helplines, I’ve come to realize that there is no effective solution within the current system designed for individuals dealing with suicidal thoughts. Despite these services raising significant funds annually, they seem to be inadequate when it comes to offering practical help and support to those in need.

Body and Soul provides an exclusive, six-month support program tailored to individuals who have attempted suicide. This program, called “You Are Not Alone,” has achieved a remarkable success rate, with all participants maintaining zero suicide reattempts after completing the course.

They additionally provide free online workshops for individuals similar to me, who are not qualified yet find themselves in a position of offering support to someone experiencing this. I often emphasize that suicide can spread, or in simpler terms, it’s important to note that it can have a ripple effect.

The tragic act of one suicide often leaves a profound impact on those affected, increasing the risk of additional suicides unless adequate support is provided.

Following extensive exploration of various programs, I find this one particularly noteworthy due to its tangible, real-world results. If you’re in need of assistance immediately, don’t hesitate to reach out to them. Alternatively, consider following their work and making a contribution if your circumstances allow. [sic]
