Lottie Tomlinson Opens Up on Post-Pregnancy Body Struggles and Breastfeeding Pain

Lottie Tomlson shared that she’s had difficulty accepting her post-pregnancy body and discussed the challenging aspects of breastfeeding, candidly expressing her experiences.

26-year-old influencer and sibling of singer Louis Tomlinson, recently revealed the arrival of their second child, a daughter named Flossie, whom they had with partner Lewis Burton, in the previous month.

In 2020, they made their bond official, and they became engaged the following year. They are proud parents of a two-year-old boy named Lucky.

On Mondays Instagram Stories, Lottie admitted during a Q&A session that she’s been struggling with self-image issues after her pregnancy.

Lottie posted a picture showing her baby bump, dressed in a long-sleeved black top and matching grey joggers.

In response to a follower’s question about body image difficulties, Lottie admitted that finding it challenging to look at her body following the addition of pregnancy weight is something she experiences too.

Next to a mirror selfie, she wrote: ‘It’s tough to gaze upon your body after giving birth and putting on extra pounds. I’m not sugarcoating it.’

‘I definitely accept it more this time round but it’s hard to know how to dress and feel nice.

Even though I’d love to spend all day in my pajamas given the chance, being just a few weeks postpartum, I’m making an effort to adapt. I’m finding ways to unwind within these new circumstances, but I’m also eager to reclaim myself and restart my fitness journey soon.

‘New mums be gentle with yourself it’s not easy’.

Previously, the stunning woman shared her experience of how difficult breastfeeding became for her following a disclosure that she required medication due to related issues.

Consequently, this situation may result in mastitis – an uncomfortable swelling of the breast tissue that’s often experienced by new mothers during their first six weeks postpartum while breastfeeding.

As a devoted fan, I felt compelled to share my personal journey into the world of natural newborn nourishment. Here’s what I wish someone had told me: It’s no walk in the park, believe me! The challenges can sneak up on you and sometimes, I think people underestimate just how tough it can be!

In my experience as a dedicated follower, my little one didn’t take to latching initially, so I had to resort to using nipple shields for approximately seven weeks. On the other hand, Flossie managed to latch immediately, but the pain was intense, causing both of us to bleed in the first few hours. The wounds then scabbed over, and I had to continue feeding through them as they healed.

On the fifth day, I developed mastitis as well, but fortunately, I detected it promptly and was able to treat it effectively using antibiotics. Although my breast is still tender during nursing and requires more attention, I plan to persevere for a little while longer.

In July, 2024, Lottie revealed she was expecting her second child by posting a video showcasing her expanding belly on her social media platforms.

We’re thrilled to share that our small household is expanding. We feel incredibly happy and fortunate as another precious infant will be joining us in January 2025.

At a house gathering organized by Lou Teasdale, a friend of Caroline Flack, in May 2020 – a memorial event commemorating three months since her untimely death – Lottie had the chance to meet Lewis for the first time.

The pair are said to have bonded over the grief of losing their respective loved ones.

Lottie sadly lost her mother and sister in recent years and Lewis lost Caroline in February 2020.

Sadly, Felicity, aged 18, passed away due to an unintended drug overdose, following the demise of their mother, Johannah, three years prior, who succumbed to cancer.

The couple announced the birth of her son Lucky in an Instagram post on August 9, 2022.

Next to a photo of her newly born son, she penned down ‘dreams can indeed become reality’. Meanwhile, her sister Phoebe’s update affirmed that the couple had been blessed with a baby boy.

Then in November 2023, the pair got engaged in Paris – after three years of dating.

When they made their proposal, the couple showed a video clip of the instance when Lewis dropped to one knee.

Lewis whisked Lottie and Lucky away for a weekend retreat, going all-out with the hotel room’s decoration, setting the stage for his heartfelt proposal.

He laid out a trail of red rose petals and candles as a guide, leading the elegant Lottie towards him, at the end of which he knelt down.

With their son present to witness the magical moment, Lewis pulled out a huge diamond ring.
