Similarly, Andy Serkis, who gives life to Gollum, is directing this new project. Notably, Sir Ian McKellen recently confirmed that characters Gandalf and Frodo will reappear in The Hunt for Gollum.

During a recent interview on the Today Show, Bloom stated that he hasn’t received any information about reprising his role as Legolas in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum (working title). He explained, “I haven’t heard a single word about it, truthfully. I have no idea. Since it seems to be focusing on Gollum, anything could happen.

Orlando Bloom, who played The Lord of the Rings character Legolas, expressed his appreciation for the role, stating, “Legolas is just an incredible part. I’m incredibly thankful to have been a part of those movies, but I haven’t received any news yet.” When asked about returning to the role if given the opportunity, Bloom said, ” frankly, I wouldn’t want anyone else playing Legolas. What would they do? Put someone else in as Legolas?

Orlando Bloom played the character Legolas in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. He received multiple awards for his role, including the MTV Movie Award for Most Promising Male Newcomer in 2002.
