Lorraine Kelly issues statement about “changes” to her ITV show and when she’ll be back on air

Lorraine Kelly has discussed the temporary changes to her ITV show, Lorraine. It’s taking a short break for a few weeks as ITV prepares its programming for 2026.

To reduce costs, ITV is shortening Lorraine’s run to 30 weeks a year, and each episode will now be only 30 minutes long.

Lorraine was unable to host the show for the two episodes before its break because she lost her voice. Ben Shephard and Christine Lampard filled in for her.

Lorraine recently shared an update on her health in an Instagram video and explained some changes to her show, expressing gratitude to her viewers for their continued support.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind wishes! I’m feeling much better now, though it was a really nasty illness. If you’re sick yourself, I’m so sorry to hear it – it’s been rough, but I’m definitely on the mend.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know I’ll be away for a few weeks. It’s not because I’m sick or anything – it’s just that things are shifting around with the show, so I’m taking some time off. I’ll miss it, but I’ll be back!

I’m currently working for about 30 weeks out of the year, so it’ll be a while before we connect again. I really appreciate your support through everything, and I look forward to being back on the air and seeing you then.

“I never take it for granted, and I really, really appreciate you tuning in. Thanks so, so much.”

Lorraine also expressed her gratitude in the video’s description, thanking both her dedicated team and all the guests who appear on her show.

The popular daytime show Loose Women is currently off the air, and the hosts even got a little emotional when they announced the break. ITV is instead broadcasting the Cheltenham Festival this week.

Lorraine airs on ITV1 and ITVX.

The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color 100-page magazine dedicated to Harry Styles, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.
