Over the weekend, Lorraine Kelly relaxed at a five-star hotel in Edinburgh while sipping on cocktails, all wrapped up in a plush bathrobe.

In a straightforward manner: The presenter, who is 65 years old, traveled to Edinburgh, the Scottish capital, to spend some quality time with her husband Steve, their daughter Rosie (who is 30), and their eight-month-old granddaughter Billie.

She appeared incredibly content, finding herself temporarily illegally parked outside her hotel room while enjoying a Negroni in one hand and a Martini in the other.

Lorraine posted a photo, showing herself enjoying some playful cocktails in her room at Prestonfield House.

She wrote in her post: “We spent most of the weekend relaxing in our room, but still found time for a sneaky cocktail! The best Negroni I’ve ever had was at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh.

Additionally, the well-known ITV personality shared a heartwarming photo, showing them snuggling with baby Billie while they ventured into the urban landscape together.

Pondering over our recent family weekend, she penned down: ‘Had a wonderful time with Rosie Kelly-Smith and little Billie over the weekend.’

She visited with her great-grandmother and great-grandfather, and together they discovered charming Edinburgh. Our stay provided an ideal vantage point, and the weather was simply delightful. Thanks to the invigorating fresh air and lengthy strolls, Billie slept soundly like a peaceful baby.

Afterward, she commended a staff member from the high-end hotel for preparing a hamper instead, since Lorraine’s mother was too unwell to attend the afternoon tea.

Sharing a photo featuring our gracious hostess Jennie, the TV personality expressed her delight: “Meet Jennie, she’s the dedicated team member at the hotel where we had the pleasure of staying over the weekend.

When I informed Jennie that my mother couldn’t attend the afternoon tea due to poor health, she graciously organized a picnic basket filled with delicious sandwiches, scones, and cakes for us to bring to her instead!

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must admit, she didn’t just pack a cup for tea; she brought a unique silver teapot instead. It made her feel exceptionally valued, and her thoughtfulness was heartwarming. This isn’t just any place, it’s an extraordinary haven where the most considerate individuals take care of their patrons – and they have Highland cows to boot!

On her Instagram stories, she posted: “Good morning everyone! Gorgeous Sunday in Edinburgh here. I’m currently at Prestonfield House Hotel – simply stunning!

As an overjoyed admirer, I must say that my stay here has been nothing short of delightful, truly remarkable! Billie and I are setting off for a stroll to catch a glimpse of the enchanting highland cows. Can you believe there are three of them? And let’s not forget Colin, the captivating peacock! I must admit, I feel incredibly serene, this has been an unforgettable experience. It’s simply wonderful to be back.

After Lorraine disclosed that her granddaughter has been a remarkable source of comfort since her mother began recovering from poor health.

Lorraine has been providing care for her mother Anne, who is 84 years old and struggles with a kidney condition known as nephrotic syndrome.

The presenter reduced her working hours to spend additional time with her granddaughter, and this renowned figure from Glasgow shared that doing so brings a sense of improved well-being.

She shared with The Sun, “Billie has truly been a blessing for my mother. To be honest, when she spends time with us and cradles Billie, she appears to be about a decade younger.

It’s clear that my mom strictly adheres to her medication regimen for her kidney issue, yet nothing compares to the remedy that Billie provides. Oh, if only there was a way to capture that essence! If you, God, could somehow preserve it.

Lorraine became a grandmother last August when her daughter Rosie welcomed Billie.

The broadcaster said: ‘Don’t get me wrong, I think I’ve got one of the best jobs in the world.

In the grand scheme of things, what truly matters most in this world is cherishing my beloved companions – friends and family – and creating precious moments together.

Occasionally, the arrival of a tiny newborn can help one grasp this. Nothing beats Billie’s smile and laughter when I enter the room, making it the most wonderful thing on earth.

Indeed, I find myself incredibly fortunate that my bond with Rosie has grown stronger over time, particularly since the arrival of our little one, Billie.

The TV host reduced her on-screen presence, acknowledging it was a challenging choice but prioritizing her family was essential.

Lorraine mentioned that it was delightful to see her mother, Rosie, and Billie all together. Moreover, she added that nothing compares to the soothing effect of hugging a little one.

‘My mum lives just outside of Glasgow in East Kilbride. So I get up there as often as I can.

Without a doubt, not working on Friday has significantly improved things. This gives me the flexibility to either head up there on Thursday and enjoy the entire weekend, or simply visit on Friday and return by the end of the day.

On her recent trip, her mother, who turns 85 in September, was doing so well that she successfully returned to Scotland by air after visiting London.

Lorraine expressed that it was quite significant. We went to pick her up and escorted her here, but then she mentioned her desire to travel back by airplane this time and attempt it independently.

As it turns out, she indeed followed through. The airport staff were incredibly considerate. A small wheelchair came to get her right at the ticket counter when we checked her luggage in. Later on, someone stayed with her until she boarded the plane.

‘She’s talking about flying out to visit her sister in Germany now.’
