As a lifestyle expert, I know how precious memories are, and Lorna Luxe recently touched my heart by sharing a previously unseen video of her late husband, John Andrews. She described watching it as a bittersweet experience, and honestly, I can completely understand why. It’s lovely to see those cherished moments, but also incredibly poignant when someone is no longer with us.
The Influencer, 43, lost her husband to stage four adrenal cancer in February, when he was aged 64.
Lorna was very thankful to have so much video of John, who often appeared on her social media accounts.
The video showed John, co-founder of L.A-Space (Lorna’s brand), looking lovingly at his wife as she walked onto the set wearing a bathrobe, prepared to film one of their usual Instagram posts.
Lorna shared a heartwarming video and explained that instead of doing retakes, they simply kept the camera rolling during filming. She expressed her happiness that they made that creative choice, as it resulted in a collection of charming, unscripted moments.
John received a diagnosis of a rare cancer in 2023. He went into remission, but unfortunately, the cancer came back in 2024 and spread to his brain.
The wealthy banker was unexpectedly readmitted to the hospital with organ failure, a complication from his chemotherapy. He also developed sepsis just before Christmas.
Lorna was warned to expect a difficult time, but thankfully her husband was home for Christmas with Luxe before he sadly passed away on February 11th.
Just weeks after her husband passed away from cancer, Lorna found it very difficult to keep her emotions in check as she prepared to return to their large home in Warwickshire.
In 2025, the couple left their £2.5 million house in Moreton Paddox, known locally as Ghost House, for major renovations. Sadly, John passed away before they could return to live there.
Lorna had to return to give an update on the house, but without John. She described the idea of going back to their three-bedroom home in Warwickshire without him as both happy and sad.
She said she needs to act as John and go to Ghost House shortly for the regular meeting to check on how the site is progressing.
The contractors on site will explain their plans to me, and then I’ll have a chance to suggest any changes I think are needed.
‘We were both so excited to get back to there. Very bittersweet this.’
In a follow-up post, she seemed emotional as she explained her upcoming trip home to check on the renovation, which is now several months behind schedule after originally being planned to take six months.
She explained that she had a full day ahead of her, starting with a trip to Ghost House. She also mentioned a major meeting was scheduled where the team involved in the rebuild project would share their progress, discuss next steps, and assess how well they were on schedule.
They’re saying I’ll finally get the house back in August, which will be a year after John and I moved out. It was originally supposed to take six months, so it’s taking much longer than expected, but I think the finished house will be great.
It’ll be great to be back home, I’m really longing for it. I’m not sure what the future holds, so I’m trying not to worry about the next few months, but I’m planning to move back in August.
The influencer first met John when she was 25 years old and working as a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic. They later married in New York City and lived together in Hove, East Sussex, before moving to Horsham and then Warwickshire.
She revealed that she and her husband of 16 years maintained their relationship by each having their own bathroom at their country home. She shared this detail with her social media followers, wondering if it was unusual for couples to not share bathrooms.
‘Maybe this is why we’ve lasted so long. He’s not even allowed in my bathroom. Just kidding.’
She explained that one thing about their relationship has always stayed the same: he handles all the planning and arrangements, and she just needs to be there and look her best.
From the moment we met, he’s been incredibly sweet and attentive. I’m really happy with how he treats me. He’s always finding ways to surprise me – it’s amazing how John consistently manages to get upgrades at hotels!
