Lorna Luxe recently shared a touching, previously unseen video of herself and her late husband, John, at a special location they both loved. She posted the clip as another heartfelt tribute following his death after a battle with cancer.
The 43-year-old influencer shared a video on her Instagram Stories on Friday showing her late husband, John, who died Thursday at age 64, happily eating cacio and pepe at a fancy restaurant.
Lorna recalled the moment fondly as she captioned: ‘Cecconi’s Mayfair is our place…
‘I never shared this vid I’m not sure why, but John and cacio and pepe.’
John, 65, fought a courageous battle with advanced adrenal cancer after receiving his diagnosis in April 2023. He and his wife, Lorna, had been married for 16 years.
Last month, the influencer shared with her 1.6 million followers that John’s cancer had worsened and doctors could no longer treat it.
She shared the sad news of her husband John’s death on Instagram, writing that he passed away yesterday and that she is devastated.
We stayed together until the very end, peacefully at home in our bed, holding hands – just as he wished.
The last time we spoke, I asked how he was doing, and he said he was struggling but still felt deeply in love. That really captured who he was – honest and always prioritizing making me feel loved and secure, even when he was going through a hard time.
My husband John and I really appreciated the daily visits from the district nurses, who helped us and kept him comfortable.
Anna was his favorite nurse, and she was incredibly kind to him – he truly thought of her as an angel.
Looking back, those final days at home with my loved one wouldn’t have been possible without incredible care, and especially my mum. She was my rock, helping me stay strong for him when he needed me most. It’s amazing how family steps up in times like those – it truly makes all the difference.
‘John you are a class act and I will love you forever.’
The couple regularly shared updates on his health journey with their fans, ever since he went into remission in November 2023 and she expressed her gratitude for their support.
Sadly, the former banker’s cancer came back in May 2024 and spread to his brain.
Sophie Hinchliffe, better known as Mrs Hinch, sent a supportive message to Lorna, letting her know that many people are there for her during a difficult time.
She wrote a heartfelt message saying how deeply sorry she was to hear the news. She’s been a long-time follower of Lorna and John’s page and has always been inspired by their love. She reminded Lorna that no one can take away her cherished memories or the special moments she shared with John, and that those memories belong to them both, always. She sent Lorna lots of love and offered support, saying many people are there for her. ✨ xxx
Oh my gosh, when I saw the news, my heart just shattered! And then I saw Molly-Mae Hague had posted, and it just… hit different. She wrote ‘Heartbroken for you. Rest in peace John. I am so beyond sorry for your loss.’ It was so sweet and genuine, honestly. It just showed how everyone is feeling right now. I’m completely devastated too, and seeing her message made me feel a little less alone in my grief.
More tributes and condolences arrived, including messages from Love Island contestants Rosie Williams and Olivia Bowen, as well as numerous other stars.
