Lorna Luxe has revealed the last gift husband John gave her before he died on Wednesday.
The 43-year-old influencer shared the heartbreaking news this week that John, age 64, had passed away after fighting adrenal cancer.
On Friday, she finally opened some old mail addressed to her partner and discovered a Valentine’s Day card meant for her that he hadn’t been able to give her before.
John clearly has a playful side, as evidenced by the cards he made. One featured a funny image of Lorna’s face on the Mona Lisa, jokingly calling her a ‘work of art.’ Another card showed John’s face edited onto the body of a cherub.
I saw this picture she posted with a caption that explained everything. Apparently, a large envelope addressed to John showed up a couple of weeks ago, and being curious, she finally opened it!
‘Legendary behaviour here John, it was the chuckle I needed.’
Lorna also uploaded a heartbreaking video of the pair snuggling up amid John’s cancer battle.
You know, witnessing genuine affection always warms my heart! I recently saw the sweetest moment – John leaned in and gave Lorna a tender kiss on the head while telling her how much he loves her and that she truly makes his world a better place. It was just incredibly touching and a beautiful reminder of the power of simple gestures.
Just yesterday, Lorna shared the heartbreaking final words her late husband, John, spoke to her, moving both her fans and fellow celebrities to tears.
She shared a touching photo of John looking happy on vacation, along with a long message revealing his last words, which deeply moved his fans.
Lorna recalled that the last time she spoke with him, she asked how he was doing, and he answered, “Not great, but I’m in love.” She said that was perfectly typical of him – honest and prioritizing her feelings, even while struggling with his own.
John, 65, fought a battle with advanced adrenal cancer after receiving his diagnosis in April 2023. He and his wife, Lorna, had been married for 16 years.
Last month, Lorna shared with her 1.6 million followers that John’s cancer had gotten worse and doctors were no longer able to treat it.
It is with great sadness that we share the news of John’s passing on Wednesday. His wife, Lorna, said she is devastated, and that they were together at home, holding hands until the very end, just as he wished.
In her tribute, she shared how grateful she and John were for the daily visits from the district nurses, who provided support and kept him comfortable.
Anna was his favorite nurse, and she was incredibly kind to him – he truly thought of her as an angel.
Those final days at home with John wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible care we received, and especially thanks to my mum, who was a constant source of strength for me when I needed to be strong for John.
‘John you are a class act and I will love you forever.’
Just two weeks before John passed away after fighting cancer, Lorna had posted a video of their last date night together.
It was so incredibly sad to hear about John’s passing. I know many in the public eye were deeply affected – I was reading that Abbey Clancy, Molly-Mae Hague, and Olivia Bowen were all heartbroken and openly emotional about the news. It just goes to show how many lives he touched.
Sophie Hinchliffe, or Mrs Hinch as she’s known, sent a supportive message to Lorna, letting her know that many people are there for her during a difficult time.
She wrote a heartfelt message saying how deeply sorry she was to hear the news. She’s been a long-time follower of Lorna and John’s page and has always been inspired by their love. She reminded Lorna that no one can take away her cherished memories or the special moments she shared with John, and that those memories belong to them forever. She sent Lorna lots of love and offered support, saying many people are there for her. ✨
I was so saddened to hear the news, and like so many others, I wanted to send my condolences. Molly-Mae Hague shared a beautiful message saying she was heartbroken and sending her deepest sympathy, and it really echoed how I felt too. It’s just such a loss, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. Rest in peace, John.
Megan McKenna expressed her sympathy for Lorna, sending her love and support and letting her know she’s thinking of her.
Abbey Clancy was overcome with emotion and struggled to express how much she cares, simply writing, ‘Oh Lorna, I’m speechless. Love you both ❤️ Sending all my love ❤️.’
Further condolences came from Love Island stars Rosie Williams and Olivia Bowen.
I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. Seeing you two together always felt so lovely and heartwarming – you had a truly beautiful relationship. Sending you all my love and support. ❤️❤️❤️
Rosie expressed her deep sorrow for Lorna, saying she was heartbroken by the loss. She described their relationship as a beautiful and enduring love story, and shared that she’s thinking of Lorna during this incredibly difficult time.
Lauren Pope, known from TOWIE, shared her condolences following the passing of Lorna’s husband, calling him a truly kind and wonderful person. She expressed her sympathy, saying it wasn’t fair, and sent her love and support to Lorna and her family. She described him as a ‘special soul’ and included heart emojis.
As a lifestyle observer, I was fascinated by Lorna and John’s relationship! They really captured everyone’s attention – partly because of their age difference, a good 21 years, and also because they lived such a glamorous, over-the-top life, which was a big part of what they shared with their followers.
Lorna and John met when she was 25 and working as a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic. They soon married in New York City and eventually settled down in Hove, East Sussex, before moving to Horsham and Warwickshire.
John used to be a banker, but after being diagnosed with stage three cancer in 2023, and with his wife Lorna thriving as an influencer, he left his job to prioritize his health and support her career.
The couple liked to indulge in posh hotel stays and ‘dirty weekends’ in far-flung destinations.
Lorna and John shared that in the years leading up to his passing, they focused on truly enjoying life.
Lorna once shared that John always made her feel special, like royalty, recalling a very generous gift he gave her early in their relationship.
When they first got together, John surprised Lorna by purchasing their first home as a surprise.
She shared on Instagram that she knew her partner was ‘the one’ when he surprised her with a place to live. She was looking at flats with him, and when she realized she couldn’t afford one, he revealed he’d already bought it for them both, giving her a knowing smile.
Lorna explained that their relationship has always had a consistent pattern: her partner takes care of all the planning, and she simply shows up and tries to look her best.
From the moment we met, he’s been incredibly sweet and attentive. I’m really happy with how he treats me. He’s always finding ways to surprise me – it’s amazing how often John manages to get upgrades at hotels!
He also upgraded her diamond engagement ring for a 15-carat version to celebrate 15 years together.
She shared that when she and John first started dating, she was a flight attendant and didn’t make a lot of money. John would often sweetly surprise her with gifts after their dates.
When we first started dating, he would always give me a gift at the end of each date.
I mostly bought makeup, and occasionally skincare. I think he’s why I started using products with ceramides. I always looked forward to seeing him at the end of the night.
I was a flight attendant and didn’t make a lot of money at the time. Since I could bring him on my flights, that’s how we started dating.
