As a longtime follower of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, I was really surprised to see photos of Mossimo out in Beverly Hills on Thursday with someone new. It was the very same day news broke about their separation, which was a total shock! It’s just… strange timing, and everyone is talking about this mystery woman he was with. Hopefully he’s just leaning on a friend during this difficult time, but it’s definitely got people speculating.
The 62-year-old fashion designer and a woman were seen shopping in Beverly Hills late in the afternoon. They appeared to be enjoying a shopping spree.
The woman was wearing a lot of makeup and prescription glasses, with her hair styled in a braided ponytail. Her outfit was casual: a black sweater paired with a short yellow miniskirt that showed off her legs, white ankle socks, and chunky black loafers. She also had on white ankle socks and chunky black loafers.
She was taller than Mossimo who is worth a whopping $80M thanks to his fashion business.
The woman clearly tried to avoid being seen with Giannulli. When people noticed them together, she went to great lengths to move away, even quickly hiding behind his car at one point. She also seemed uneasy, frequently folding her arms and adjusting her black, white, and beige purse on her shoulder.
Giannulli, who has dark hair, was wearing a neat white shirt, blue Levi’s jeans with a belt, and beige suede boots with a substantial heel. He was carrying two white shopping bags.

Witnesses spotted them at a valet station where the designer gave the attendant his ticket and settled the bill after a shopping trip to G/FORE Supply for activewear.
G/FORE offers a variety of apparel and accessories, including T-shirts, shorts, leggings, tennis shoes, socks, backpacks, and beanie caps, all showcased within a completely pink-themed interior.
The unidentified woman and the designer then entered a light gray Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, which is valued at approximately $200,000.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Loughlin’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
On Thursday, People magazine reported that Loughlin’s publicist confirmed she and Giannulli have separated after 28 years of marriage. The couple originally married in November 1997. ‘They are currently living separately and are taking some time apart,’ Loughlin’s representative, Elizabeth Much, told People. ‘As of right now, they haven’t filed for divorce or started any legal proceedings.’
That same day, pictures of Loughlin appeared showing her affectionately embracing Anne Heche’s ex-husband, James Tupper, outside the Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening.
Loughlin and Tupper, 60, acted together in the 2023 TV film Fall Into Winter. She later co-starred with the actor in the 2024 movie A Christmas Blessing.
The actress, 61, originally from Queens, New York, and her husband, a 62-year-old fashion designer, both famously served time in prison after being found guilty in the college admissions bribery scandal. They have two daughters: Isabella ‘Bella’ Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade Giannulli, 26.

Giannulli is a well-known fashion designer and the founder of Mossimo, a clothing brand offering moderately priced items. He started the company in 1986 in Newport Beach, California.
During his first year in business he grossed $1 million.
He earned $4 million the next year. In 1991, Mossimo broadened its offerings to include sweatshirts, knitted items, and sweaters.
By 1995, the collection included women’s clothing and men’s suits.
Following eight years of operation, Mossimo, Inc. had become a successful, multimillion-dollar sportswear and lifestyle brand, and then it went public with an initial public offering in 1996.
In 2000, Mossimo, Inc. partnered with Target stores in a large deal covering multiple products, worth $27.8 million. This deal helped make the Mossimo brand well-known across the country. Later, in 2006, Iconix Brand Group acquired Mossimo.

The couple, who were separated, were first accused in 2019 of paying Rick Singer, a college admissions consultant, $500,000. The payment was allegedly made to get their daughters recruited to the University of Southern California’s rowing team, even though the daughters had no experience in the sport. They were accused of using Singer to falsely present their daughters as rowing athletes.
In May 2020, Loughlin and Giannulli admitted guilt regarding conspiracy charges related to the college admission bribery case.
Loughlin, who starred in the popular TV show Full House and its Netflix revival, was sentenced to two months in jail after admitting guilt. She also had to pay a $150,000 fine and complete 150 hours of community service.
Loughlin, known for her role as Rebecca ‘Aunt Becky’ Katsopolis in the family comedy, started serving her sentence at a federal prison in Dublin, California in October 2020 and was let out in December of the same year.
Giannulli, Loughlin’s husband, was sentenced to five months, and also ordered to pay a $250,000 fine and complete 250 hours of community service.
I remember when Mossimo Giannulli started his prison sentence back in November of 2020. It felt like a long time, but thankfully, he was transferred to home confinement in April of 2021 – just about a month before he was set to be fully released. It was a relief to hear he’d be finishing his time that way!
The famous couple was caught up in Operation Varsity Blues – a large national scandal that implicated 33 parents.
Notably, Felicity Huffman, an Emmy-winning actress, was also a key figure. She spent 11 days in jail in 2019 as part of a plea agreement related to the Operation Varsity Blues case.

Professionally, Loughlin’s legal troubles kept her sidelined from Fuller House’s fifth season.
She made her comeback to television in late 2021 with a guest appearance in a two-part Christmas special of the show When Hope Calls.
She first walked a red carpet after the controversy in June 2022, attending the DesignCare 2022 Gala at RJ’s Place. The event supported the HollyRod Foundation, and marked her first public appearance since the scandal began.
In the sixth episode of its twelfth season, Loughlin playfully referenced the courtroom blunder experienced by Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2024.
Loughlin portrayed a character based on herself, asking David for assistance in getting back into a prestigious golf club after being expelled due to the scandal.
David begins to regret his decision after Loughlin, who loves golf, starts using harsh methods once he helps her regain access to the club. He assisted her, but her subsequent actions give him pause.
Executive producer Jeff Schaffer shared with The Hollywood Reporter that they contacted Lori’s manager, who was enthusiastic about the idea. The manager then spoke with Lori, and she immediately agreed, saying: “I’m in, I’m totally game.”
She truly was exceptional. She readily embraced every challenge we presented, and her performance really carried the episode. I’m very happy she agreed to participate.
In April 2024, Loughlin shared with FIRST for Women Magazine how she dealt with the consequences of the significant events that altered her life.
‘I really make an effort to forgive others,’ Loughlin explained. ‘I don’t dwell on things that have happened. Everyone experiences difficulties and setbacks.’
I’ve always believed that if you want to be forgiven, you need to understand what it means to forgive others first. It’s a two-way street, really. I was lucky enough to grow up in a family that didn’t dwell on mistakes. My family wasn’t the type to hold grudges, and I never felt like a misstep meant a lasting punishment. Forgiveness was simply a part of how we lived. It wasn’t about ignoring what happened, but about moving forward without letting it define us.
