Lorde strips off during surprise Glastonbury set after leaving fans in shock with X-rated picture

On Friday morning at Glastonbury, Lorde electrified fans with an unexpected performance, during which she removed her shirt in response to the intense heat.

A multitude of enthusiasts rushed towards the Woodsies stage once whispers about a performance by the renowned royal songwriter circulated throughout Worthy Farm.

The enthusiasm was so high that managers had to momentarily shut down the stage because it was too crowded, just as her performance was about to start.

In the previous year, 2022, this artist had a notable performance on The Pyramid stage. Recently, they returned to perform an array of their most popular songs, ranging from “Ribs” to “Green Light”. Additionally, they showcased a live version of their latest album.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t wait for the day to arrive when our beloved 28-year-old New Zealander would reveal the cover art for her upcoming vinyl release. And boy, did she deliver! The image was nothing short of breathtakingly daring, leaving us all speechless and eagerly anticipating the music that accompanied it.

For the special event, Lorde wore her long, sleek black hair loose and opted for a monochromatic white ensemble. She paired this with straight-leg jeans and a simple white t-shirt.

Lorde kept her shiny black tresses flowing freely for the event and chose an all-white outfit. This included straight-cut jeans and a plain tee.

At the occasion, Lorde donned her glossy black hair in its natural state and went with a simple white style. She accessorized this look with straight-leg jeans and a basic t-shirt.

As she sang passionately, Lorde uncovered her toned abdomen by lifting up her T-shirt, showing off her bra beneath.

Later on, she removed her T-shirt, exposing her striking physique, which left many of her supporters exhilarated.

‘Moooorning’, she greeted the crowd, ‘this is sick’. 

Moreover, her performance was impressive indeed, as many attendees at the festival expressed their admiration for the popstar on X.

Supporters described the show as ‘out of this world’, ‘utterly euphoric’ and ‘brilliant’. 

On the noteworthy old festival this coming Friday, performers such as Lola Young, Loyle Carner, PinkPantheress, and numerous others will grace the stage, culminating in The 1975’s performance that will end the night on the Pyramid stage.

On the very day when Lorde astounded her fans with the unveiling of her new vinyl’s cover art, she delivered an unexpected performance featuring numerous tracks from her latest album titled “Virgin” as part of her set.

The performer’s provocative choice for the project’s primary artwork was an X-ray image of her pelvis, clearly showing a intrauterine device.

Nevertheless, the vinyl version of Virgin, Lorde’s fourth studio album released following Solar Power in 2021, contains more overt content and seems to depict what looks like her lower body under a pair of transparent plastic trousers.

Expressing their surprise on social platforms, some fans voiced concerns that their relatives might accidentally come across the mature content featured on the cover.

It appears they’ve posted on Twitter: “The freshly arrived Lorde vinyl took me by surprise with its insert”; or more casually, “Looks like Lorde slipped in a surprise with the vinyl, doesn’t she?

‘My Lorde vinyl is getting delivered to my parent’s house I’m scared [sic].’ 

Other suggestions include: ‘When you unwrap your Virgin vinyl, you find “lordussy”; You should have remained intrigued about the Lord vinyl.’

On the other hand, not all people found the vinyl’s artwork to be a point of criticism. Instead, some referred to it as ‘stunning,’ and they saw it as anything but shocking.

Many of you seem unusually concerned about Lorde’s vinyl album cover… frankly, let’s not make a big deal out of whether or not her figure is visible. It’s simply a representation of the human body.

Hold up! Is this the new album artwork by Lorde that everyone seems to be discussing? I find it quite captivating, and the overall design of the vinyl is impressive as well. But honestly, there’s not much to see in it. All the buzz around it feels a bit overblown. If 90’s Madonna were here, she might have some strong words for everyone.

Others found the response to the vinyl surprisingly intense, leading them to anticipate a more overtly explicit presentation than what was delivered.

As a devoted follower, I honestly anticipated that the Lord Huron vinyl insert wouldn’t live up to the hype, but it seems like everyone might be overdramatizing its quality.

The latest release boasts multiple chart-topping tracks, such as “Man of the Year,” which is currently trending as a popular internet sensation.

As a devoted admirer, I can share that Lorde herself has characterized her most recent album as an exploration of ‘expanding gender roles.’ She mentioned that this creative endeavor stemmed from her personal journey towards embracing ‘a more masculine identity.’

The star, who uses she/her pronouns, told Rolling Stone that she is ‘in the middle, gender-wise’. 

To clarify my gender to Chappell Roan, Lorde stated, “I identify as female, but there are times when I feel male.

Initially, fans were taken aback when Lorde unveiled the provocative cover art for her new album, along with its titillating title.

The astonishing cover showed an X-ray image that seemed to be of a woman’s lower body, clearly revealing her hip bones, the buckle of a belt, and a zipper.

However, it was a specific aspect of the X-ray that sparked discussion among fans – an object resembling a T-shape, which seemed to be an intrauterine device (IUD), a method of birth control inserted into the uterus.

On her website, she claimed the album was written ‘100%’ in blood. 

Lorde said she was both ‘proud and scared’ of the upcoming project in an email sent to fans.

‘The colour of the album is clear. Like bathwater, windows, ice, spit. Full transparency.

‘The language is plain and unsentimental. The sounds are the same wherever possible.

I aimed to capture and express my true essence, reflecting my femininity in its authentic form – raw, primal, innocent, refined, open-hearted, spiritual, and possessing a touch of masculinity – through the creation of this document.

I feel a mix of pride and fear about this album, as it lays everything bare with no room for secrecy. Expressing our innermost feelings through music seems to be the key to liberation.

Among New Zealand’s most successful singer-songwriters ever, Lorde’s 2013 single “Royals” peaked at the top of the American charts and was subsequently awarded 14 platinum certifications.
