Lorde leaves fans puzzled revealing a BLACK EYE in cryptic post – after deleting all her social media posts
As a longtime fan of Lorde, I must say that her recent Instagram post has sent my heart racing with excitement! With her enigmatic posts and teasing images, she has always had a knack for keeping us on our toes. However, this latest move feels particularly tantalizing, reminding me of the days leading up to the release of ‘Pure Heroine’ – a moment that left an indelible mark on my own musical journey.
On Monday, my heart skipped a beat when my beloved Lorde posted a string of images on Instagram, showing off a shiner.
Last month, the 27-year-old vocalist erased all her social media content without offering an explanation, causing curiosity among fans as to the cause of her recent injuries, with many imagining various scenarios.
Instead of just expressing concern and offering goodwill, some spectators speculated whether the post could possibly be connected to a forthcoming venture or announcement.
One fan inquired, “Are you alright, Lorde?”, while another excitedly stated, “Your upcoming album has the potential to shatter the web.
The mysterious comment from her added to the perplexity among her vast followers, since it read, ‘What does this mean? ©🅱️𝘼𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙀𝙍,’ leaving numerous fans baffled by the unusual characters and unclear message.
A Reddit user posted, ‘And I wonder what this caption implies… This is certainly peculiar.’ The user seems to be puzzling over it, suggesting they might think she accidentally hit herself, but they recognize the symbol in her caption indicating a woman and man together. They can’t make sense of the rest, finding it very strange.
Another fan commented, ‘Girl, you are so confusing.’
The singer from The Royals posted multiple close-up images showing her swollen face, followed by an image of herself grinning while preparing to eat a banana split, and it’s evident that the injury was still present.
Additionally, she shared a picture of a ProHealth Advanced Imaging disc and a hat bearing the question, “Are you tough enough?” or “Got the guts?” depending on regional context.
One fan seemed impressed by the mysterious post, commenting, ‘Excellent way to re-enter social media. Lead with the black eye and the enigmatic baseball cap. I like it, Lorde, I like it. Keep these people on their toes.’
On August 13th, it was noticed that Lorde had cleared her social media accounts, leading many fans to believe that new music might be on its way.
Similarly to Taylor Swift’s strategy when hinting at upcoming album launches, and not too long ago, Lorde has opted for a somewhat mysterious tone in her social media updates as well.
In June, the singer uploaded a series of puzzling photos that seemed to tease new music.
One image showed her in a long black dress, gazing over a balcony, while another captured the moment she spat off the edge.
Adding to the intrigue, she shared a close-up of her hand holding a tablet with the word ‘spit’ written on it.
She wrote a short message, which read: ‘Use the existing tools wherever possible. If the tools do not exist you are spiritually obliged to create them.’
Fans were quick to speculate that her post might be a teaser for new music on the horizon.
‘So the lead single is called spit?’ one person questioned.
A fan exclaimed, ‘Lorde, what’s this all about? Please release a new album!’ Meanwhile, someone else announced, ‘Lorde’s upcoming album is on its way!’
The post was the only one on Lorde’s Instagram page at the time.
The Grammy Award-winning songwriter debuted two new tracks during her set at England’s Boardmasters Festival last year.
Vulture claims that the successful songwriter performed a duo of tunes tentatively named Silver Moon and Invisible Ink, but she subsequently refuted that these titles were indeed the definitive ones.
Despite rumors swirling about a new album from Lorde, she clarified on her Instagram account back then that she wasn’t actively working on any significant music project.
She wrote: ‘This is not the start of anything out there, just want u to know there’s a light on inside me.’
In response to a comment suggesting that the musician might be deceiving her fans, she firmly stood by her initial denial and reiterated it more strongly.
She wrote, “I’ve just made a decision to release these files from my computer… but they’re not harmful, right?” (or alternatively) “I’ve just freed these documents from my PC… and they’re nothing harmful, aren’t they?
Lorde’s most recently-released album Solar Power made its debut in August of 2021.
