Lorde fans left in shock after receiving picture of her private parts on new vinyl cover for Virgin album
As an ardent supporter, I can’t help but express my bewilderment and disbelief upon laying eyes on the enigmatic artwork gracing Lorde’s latest vinyl release. The image, at first glance, seems to depict a striking revelation that leaves me questioning if this is indeed the work of my beloved artist.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I find myself often discussing the fascinating world of music and art. Recently, the talented singer, aged 28, has sparked intrigue with the cover art of her latest album. This captivating image is an x-ray of her pelvis, subtly incorporating her personal choice to use an intrauterine device (IUD).
Nevertheless, the vinyl edition of Virgin, Lorde’s fourth studio album following Solar Power in 2021, carries an explicit theme, with images that seem to depict her figure through transparent plastic trousers.
Sharing their concern on social platforms, certain fans expressed anxiety over their relatives possibly coming across the explicit cover art.
In a post on Twitter, they mentioned: ‘The newly arrived Lorde vinyl left me surprised by its insert.’ Translated to casual language: ‘Wow, Lorde sneakily included something from her cat in the vinyl, didn’t she?’
‘My Lorde vinyl is getting delivered to my parent’s house I’m scared [sic].’

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d suggest rephrasing those statements into more personal and engaging language. Here’s my take:
1. “When I first open my Lorde vinyl from Virgin Records, I can’t help but feel excited.”
2. “I find myself constantly wondering about the intricacies of Lorde’s vinyl release with Virgin.”
On the other hand, not all individuals found the vinyl’s artwork to be problematic; instead, some referred to it as ‘beautiful,’ emphasizing that it was far from being shocking.
Many of you seem overly concerned about Lorde’s vinyl cover… frankly, what matters is that it’s just a representation of a human body. The focus should not be on whether or not her private areas are visible.
Hang on, could this be the latest album artwork by Lorde that everyone seems to be discussing? I find the image captivating, and I must admit the overall vinyl design is appealing as well; however, I can’t help but feel it reveals very little. Perhaps the conversation surrounding it is a bit excessive. If 90s Madonna were here, she might have a thing or two to say about this, given how revealing her work was back then.
People were surprised by how intense the response to the vinyl was, as they had anticipated it to contain more explicit content than it did in reality.
I was under the impression that the Lorde vinyl insert wouldn’t be as good as some people claim, but it seems like I might have overestimated the drama.
The newly released album contains various popular tracks such as “Man of the Year,” which is currently trending widely.
Lorde referred to her new album as “expanding gender boundaries” and mentioned that it stemmed from her personal journey towards embracing a more masculine identity.

The star, who uses she/her pronouns, told Rolling Stone that she is ‘in the middle, gender-wise’.
In conversation with Chappell Roan, Lorde expressed her view on her gender by saying, “I identify as female, but there are times when I feel like a man.
Previously, fans were taken aback by Lorde’s unconventional approach when she unveiled the explicit title and cover art of her newly released album, which carries a strong sexual connotation.
The stunning cover image seemed to reveal an X-ray of her lower torso, clearly showing her hip bones, the outline of a belt buckle, and the zipper.
However, a specific aspect of the X-ray sparked conversation among fans – a T-shaped entity suspected to be an intrauterine device (IUD), a form of birth control inserted into the uterus.
On her website, she claimed the album was written ‘100%’ in blood.

Lorde said she was both ‘proud and scared’ of the upcoming project in an email sent to fans.
‘The colour of the album is clear. Like bathwater, windows, ice, spit. Full transparency.
‘The language is plain and unsentimental. The sounds are the same wherever possible.
I aimed to capture and express my feminine essence authentically in the creation of this document. I wanted it to embody the following qualities: raw, primal, pure, sophisticated, open-hearted, spiritual, and possessing a masculine edge.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but feel both elated and apprehensive about this upcoming album. It strips everything bare; there’s no place to hide. I truly believe that baring the most intimate aspects of our souls through music is the key to liberation.
Lorde ranks among the top-selling New Zealand artists ever, and her 2013 single “Royals” soared to the top spot in the U.S., ultimately earning 14 platinum certifications.
