Loot season 3 is happening at Apple TV+ (Why we love this renewal news)

As a dedicated gamer and a lover of all things Apple TV+, I can’t help but be elated by the news that “Loot” is coming back for a third season! I was hooked from the very first episode, where we followed Molly Wells (played brilliantly by Maya Rudolph), a woman who suddenly finds herself with an $87 billion divorce settlement and decides to use it to make a difference in the world.

Fans of “Loot” on Apple TV+ will be thrilled to know that there’s more comedy coming their way, as the show has been renewed for a second season. Discover the details here!

As a passionate gamer and an Apple TV+ subscriber, I’ve come across some hidden gems that don’t always get the attention they deserve. One such show is “Loot,” which premiered back in June 2022. In this series, I play the role of Molly Wells, portrayed brilliantly by Maya Rudolph, who also produces the show. My character is married to tech billionaire John, played by Adam Scott. However, things take an unexpected turn when I find out that he’s been unfaithful. The shocking discovery leads to a massive divorce settlement worth $87 billion. It’s not your typical Apple TV+ blockbuster, but trust me; it’s definitely worth checking out!

I, Molly the passionate gamer, choose to invest my hard-earned earnings into making a difference and transforming the world. I partner up with activist Sofia (Michael Jae Rodriguez) to bring about positive change. However, despite my good intentions, I struggle to grasp the daily realities of people’s lives. This can lead me to make well-intentioned but misguided decisions, resulting in some awkward and embarrassing public moments.

As a gamer, I can tell you that Season 1 of the show generated quite a buzz and earned a well-deserved renewal for Season 2. In the thrilling finale of Season 2, I was taken aback when Molly was summoned before an enigmatic assembly of billionaires. I was shocked to discover that her supposed ally Grace (played by Ana Gasteyer) was among them, making their demand for Molly to halt her crusade even more perplexing.

I was taken aback when John’s rocket explosion seemed to claim his life. To my surprise, he wasn’t really dead – it turned out he had intentionally destroyed his $2 billion spacecraft in an desperate attempt to win me back. Heartbroken, I sought solace in confiding in aide Arthur about my feelings for him. Sadly, I found him with another woman instead. The season ended with me and assistant Nicholas getting on a plane to an unknown destination.

That was a big cliffhanger, so is the show coming back?

What’s coming for Loot Season 3?

It’s great news that Apple TV+ announced the renewal of “Loot” for a third season, bringing joy to Rudolph.

We are thrilled to come back for a third season! We’re extremely fortunate to spend more time with our talented cast and crew. Making this show with Apple TV+ has been a joy and we can’t wait to reunite with our Loot family.

Apple TV’s decision to highlight this series is commendable as its compelling storyline and exceptional acting merit greater recognition. In particular, Rudolph delivers an outstanding performance as Molly, who strives to escape her privileged existence despite encounters with misconceptions. The friendship between Molly and Sofia is captivating, with Sofia bringing intriguing nuances (her covert Swiftie fandom) to the table. Witnessing their beautiful bond unfold on screen is a treat for viewers.

Booster and Ron Funches add depth to the show as Howard, Molly’s cousin who surprised everyone by starting a pro wrestling promotion at the end of Season 2. The relationship between Molly and Arthur is particularly engaging, filled with biting irony as Arthur, who had long pursued Molly, discovers that she now has feelings for him, but he has already moved on.

In Season 3, we might explore if the pairing of the two characters could become a reality, as they seem well-suited for each other. Additionally, there may be repercussions from Molly’s decision to confront that peculiar cabal and consider her next steps in her philanthropic endeavors. Lastly, John’s persistent pursuit of Molly continues, while she navigates the constant clash between her wealthy lifestyle and the real world.

The underappreciated “Loot” is worth more screen time for audiences, offering uproarious laughter and unexpected depth. Consequently, the announcement of a third season renewal signifies an opportunity for Apple TV+ subscribers to enjoy even more of this show’s rich comedic offerings.
