Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan shares update on sister’s cancer battle
As a long-time follower of the Nolan family and their inspiring journey, I can’t help but feel a profound admiration for their resilience and fortitude. The latest update on Linda Nolan’s cancer battle, shared during an episode of Loose Women, is another testament to their indomitable spirit.
Coleen Nolan issued an update on sister Linda’s cancer battle during an episode of Loose Women.
In 2005, Linda Nolan received a diagnosis of breast cancer that recurred in 2017 and subsequently affected her brain, liver, and skeletal system.
Previously, singer Coleen from the band Nolans revealed that Linda is choosing not to learn about her remaining time, during a conversation about Sir Chris Hoy disclosing his terminal cancer diagnosis.
She started by saying, “Right now, I am acquainted with my sister Linda, who continues to astound me on a daily basis. I find myself in constant admiration of her.
“She doesn’t wish to be informed about her remaining time, as she believes that receiving such information might cause her to stop fighting for life.
Currently, her resilience is being sustained by the ongoing treatment, and it seems that as far as she continues to receive care, she remains determined to persevere. In simpler terms, she’s holding on because she’s still receiving treatment, and as long as that continues, she intends to keep pushing forward.
Colleen explained that Linda’s perspective has shifted, and she’s making adjustments to her plans so she can be present to savor the moments ahead.
She frequently mentions, “I may not be around next week, so we should probably do it then instead,” she added.
She might express her increased activity by saying, “She lives each day as if it were her last, seizing every opportunity because she doesn’t know what tomorrow may bring, which has shifted her perspective significantly.
In the year 2013, Bernie, their beloved sister, passed away after fighting a tough three-year struggle against breast cancer. This was a tragic loss for both Coleen and Linda.
In 2000, Anne Nolan received a breast cancer diagnosis, and this condition recurred in 2020. By the end of the same year, Anne declared that she had beaten cancer again. As they were both battling cancer simultaneously, Anne and Bernie were undergoing treatment together during that period.
Previously, Colleen disclosed that she was diagnosed with skin cancer. She reassured her supporters that she would recover following the treatment of carcinoma on her shoulder and pre-melanoma on her facial area.
