As a long-time fan of British soap operas, I can’t help but feel a mix of nostalgia and curiosity as I delve into the lives of these familiar faces. In this case, Denise, a former Coronation Street actress, has had quite the rollercoaster ride, from her marriages to Tim Healy and Lincoln, to her stints on various popular shows.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share some intriguing news: A beloved figure from the popular talk show “Loose Women” is rumored to be stepping back into the world of soaps, reprising her role on “Waterloo Road.” This surprising move takes us back to where it all began for her, in the captivating realm of daytime drama.

66-year-old TV favorite Denise Welch could potentially reappear on the cherished BBC soap following a 13-year absence since her last role there.

In my professional journey, I’m recognized for embodying the character of Steph Haydock, a dedicated French teacher, from 2006 to 2011.

She said farewell to her well-known character following unfounded misconduct accusations made by Steph, seemingly intended for financial gain; however, she may reappear on BBC screens shortly.

Fans of Waterloo Road are always excited about returns, especially if it’s someone as talented as Denise, according to a source from the BBC speaking with The Sun.

‘The character is certainly one which will live long in the memory of devotees, and it’s an absolute no brainer to have her return.’

Matty Healy, the lead singer of The 1975, mother’s affection was cherished by many long before her role on the BBC soap opera – she had already won the hearts of nations when she portrayed Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street from 1997 to 2000.

In time, Denise emerged victorious in the 2012 edition of Celebrity Big Brother, and over the years, she made guest appearances on several soap operas. Consequently, it would not come as a surprise if she decided to return to acting.

Previously, this panelist portrayed Alison Slater, a hidden stepmother to Stacey Slater on the show EastEnders. From 2021 to 2022, they also appeared as Trish Minniver in Channel 4’s series Hollyoaks.

TopMob has contacted BBC and Denise Welch’s representatives for a comment.

Earlier last month, Denise opened up about her ‘infidelities’ in past relationships an episode of Loose Women.

The TV personality joined the other panellists Kaye Adams, Olivia Attwood and Nadia Sawalha, as they discussed whether society judges women who cheat less harshly than men.

As a devoted spouse myself, I can share my perspective on this matter: ‘Many individuals tend to believe that women are driven to infidelity by emotional motivations, and I firmly stand behind the notion that there are indeed legitimate reasons for such actions.’ (Lincoln Townley happens to be my third husband, aged 51.)

Indeed, I acknowledge the existence of apparent double standards. Yet, upon confessing my own indiscretions, I was met with an overwhelmingly harsh response, much like the wicked witch of the west, not only from the media but also many members of the public.

Denise added: ‘Probably quite rightly so, but I think that there are double standards.’

Simultaneously, Olivia confessed, “It’s true that my friends and I sometimes hold ourselves to different standards than others.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d say, “In case you find yourself engaging in social situations late at night, perhaps you might encounter someone showing interest, regardless of their gender. Here are some tips to navigate such scenarios gracefully.

On the following day, they say, “I guess I shouldn’t have talked to him,” and we reply, “Well, you’ve had an incredibly busy workweek, drowning in tasks, and he hasn’t given you much notice.

On the contrary side, if word got out that one of them had acted in such a way, our immediate reaction might be something along the lines of “How repulsive, he’s behaving like an animal.” However, we often find ourselves chuckling at our own hypocrisy, knowing full well that we too engage in similar behaviors.

The Loose Women star has been married to her artist husband Lincoln since 2013.

Previously, I was married to Tim Healy from 1988 until 2012. We are proud parents of two wonderful boys, Matty Healy, who is now 35 years old, and our younger son, Louis, who is 23. The bandleader of The 1975 is none other than my son, Matty.

In the year 2020, Tim expressed his annoyance on Twitter (which has since been removed) about his ex-spouse, Denise, disclosing their personal matters on the show Loose Women.

In the specific episode, the actress previously known from Coronation Street asserted that there were instances of unfaithfulness from both parties throughout their 24-year long marriage.

She admitted that they ‘hung on too long’ to their relationship and made each other ‘miserable’.

The chat came about after the TV personality was shown a past clip of herself debating with Sherrie Hewson about cheating.

In the video, Denise argued that ’emotional infidelity’ can be more damaging than ‘physical infidelity’. She explained that physical infidelity might occur in a moment of weakness, like behind a shed while under the influence, but emotional infidelity leaves lasting scars.

While I’m not approving of this situation, I’d prefer they were open about their emotions with each other, instead of one potentially developing feelings for another person in secret.

After the show ended, Tim, feeling furious about the discussion, took to Twitter to express his anger in a now-removed tweet.)

In a post directed at his former wife Denise, he commented: “Yesterday, I saw an episode of Loose Women. Denise discussed the acceptability of having casual sex while married, even behind the bike shed in her time.

Daily, over the years, she repeatedly shared intimate details about our personal lives. After much patience, dear Tim Healy, I am no longer here, XX.

Instead, it appears that they reconciled afterwards, sharing a warm Christmas dinner last year with their sons and Denise’s present spouse, Lincoln.
