Game developer Dragami Games has shared that they will be introducing a ‘Nightmare Mode’ for the game Lollipop Chainsaw RePop in April. This upgrade, available as a free update, allows players to activate Juliet Starling’s powerful “legendary zombie hunter” state.
After successfully completing “Lollipop Chainsaw” with a positive outcome in either the Original Mode or RePop Mode, you’ll unlock the “Nightmare Mode”. In this mode, Juliet finds herself in a gloomy version of San Romero High School, which takes place within her dream. Similar to the Original Mode, the game starts with the prologue and advances stage by stage, retaining the same storyline and dialogue.
In this updated version, all zombies have been renamed as specific undead entities, and the ‘Voices of Darkness’ adversaries have become tougher due to adjustments in parameters and behaviors. By gathering eight special items, you can awaken Juliet’s dormant legendary zombie-hunting abilities, enhancing her attack strength, speed, and other characteristics. Here are the items required:
1. The Ominous Talisman
2. The Festering Crystal
3. The Rotten Scroll
4. The Corroded Key
5. The Moldy Parchment
6. The Decayed Amulet
7. The Putrid Orb
8. The Decomposed Medallion
- High-Power Dumbbells – Increases attack power.
- Speed Armband – Increases attack speed.
- Winged Sneakers – Increases movement speed.
- Power Engine – Increases chainsaw movement speed.
- Smart Chip – Speeds up Sparkle Hunting effects.
- Chain Motor – Speeds up slicing QTEs.
- High-Speed Loader – Increases blaster fire rate.
- Special Backpack – Increases max ammo capacity.
As a devoted player, I’ve discovered that right from the start of Nightmare Mode, the High-Power Dumbells and Speed Armband are at your disposal. For other items though, you’ll need to head over to the in-game shop. With a successful clearance of Stage 6, you’ll be rewarded with the ‘Aura of Legend’ ability that magnificently broadens Juliet’s chainsaw, extending its reach for more powerful attacks.
In simple terms, Juliet’s legendary zombie-hunting skills from different modes like Original Mode, RePop Mode, and Time Attack can be activated or deactivated at will (with a few exceptions). Additionally, the Nightmare Mode is set to debut in the game “Lollipop Chainsaw RePop” this coming April.
