Lola Young shares first Instagram post since taking a career break as she says her ‘head is in a better place’ – after she was forced to cancel tour

Lola Young recently posted on Instagram for the first time in three months, after taking time off work. She said she’s feeling much better.

The 24-year-old singer from South London announced in September that she was canceling the rest of her tour. This came after she collapsed on stage during a concert in New York, which had worried fans, and she needed time to rest.

The musician recently returned to social media, sharing a heartfelt message where she thanked her fans and family for giving her the support and privacy she needed to recover.

Hey everyone, as many of you know, I’ve been taking some time to focus on my well-being. I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to all of you who’ve given me the support and understanding I needed to get back on track and feel like myself again. It really means the world to me.

‘I’ve felt so much love and support from you all and it has helped more than you will ever know.

I’m slowly starting to perform again and work towards my goals. Wishing everyone happy holidays, and I look forward to seeing you all in 2026!

‘Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well.

‘All my love always, Lola x.’

In September, the English singer had to be helped off stage by staff during a performance at a New York festival. She later let her fans know she was okay.

Lola announced to her fans that she needed to take some time off to focus on her personal well-being and would be postponing her tour indefinitely.

At the time, the artist behind ‘Messy’ was scheduled to travel to the UK for a concert in Manchester on October 6th, with additional performances planned in Birmingham and London.

‘Thank you for all the love and support.

‘I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know.

‘Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund.

I’m working on becoming a better version of myself, and I hope you’ll be willing to forgive me when I’m ready. Sending my love to everyone, Lola.

I was absolutely devastated when I heard about Lola’s health scare! It happened so suddenly, right after she’d hinted things hadn’t been great for a couple of days. She wasn’t even sure she’d be able to make it to the festival, and then this happened! I was so worried about her, it was awful.

She announced on Instagram that she unfortunately won’t be able to perform at All Things Go in Washington, D.C. today.

I truly enjoy my work and deeply value my audience, so it’s difficult to share this news. I apologize to anyone who may be disappointed.

I’m hoping for another opportunity to earn your trust in the future. I appreciate everyone who has listened and shown support. And to those who enjoy being unkind online, could you please give me a break for today?
