Loki actor Jack Veal, 17, releases new video claiming council are ‘refusing’ to offer him accommodation after he told fans he was homeless and sleeping on the streets

As I delve deeper into this heartrending tale of Jack Veal, a young talent with a promising future in both acting and athletics, I find myself moved by his resilience and determination. At just 15 years old, Jack has already left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry, having worked alongside some of the biggest names in film and television. Yet, it is his off-screen battles that truly capture my admiration.

Actor Jack Veal, who plays Loki, shared a new video today, informing his followers that he was unable to secure housing following a discussion with social service officials.

17-year-old actor, recognized for his portrayal of Kid Loki in the Disney+ series headlined by British actor Tom Hiddleston, became popular on TikTok following his disclosure that he resided in a trailer in London.

This week, Jack, who currently works as a personal trainer, made a plea for assistance from the public – only to disclose subsequently that he was given an opportunity for housing assistance by Islington Council.

Nevertheless, a heated video emerged today featuring the young man, known for roles in The Favourite, Tin Star, The End of the F***ing World, and Call the Midwife, asserting that he had no choice but to carry on residing on the streets.

In his recent video post, he shared that he is 17 years old and currently without a permanent residence on the streets. He attended a meeting with the council who informed him that he either has to remain homeless or go back home, which isn’t an option until they find him a foster care placement – a process that could take some time.

They’re giving me dates, but these are likely to turn into weeks, due to their dishonesty. This means I might end up homeless on the streets, even though I’ve been placed under care… and yet they continue to deny me a suitable place to stay, disregarding my evidence that home is not safe for me.

‘So, I don’t know what to do. Again, this is another call out for help. I had hope, but again, they’re not doing anything. They want to put me in foster care but in the meantime I have to stay on the streets.

As a long-time resident of this community and someone who has seen many changes over the years, I am utterly astonished and dismayed by the actions of Islington Council. The latest decision they’ve made is simply beyond belief, and I feel compelled to call them out directly. It seems that common sense has taken a backseat in their decision-making process, and it’s downright ridiculous. I can barely contain my disbelief at this turn of events.

TopMob has approached Islington Council for comment.

In his initial video on Monday, the Marvel actor previously mentioned: “Greetings. I’m a well-known actor, I’m 17 years old, and currently without a home.

I haven’t shared a lot about my recent experiences, but I believe it’s now appropriate to disclose the real story.

On a candid TikTok post on Monday, Veal opened up about his battles with mental health issues and shared that he has experienced abuse in the past.

I face challenges with my mental well-being. I’m diagnosed with autism and ADHD, and I’m currently under evaluation for potential bipolar disorder and psychosis.

‘I can’t stay at my grandparents’. I have nowhere else to go, and I need help.

‘Social services refuses to help me despite what I have told them. I am desperate.’

Next, Jack adjusted the camera to capture the surroundings where he’s temporarily residing, searching for assistance.

He said: ‘I’ve been sleeping in the streets. I am currently sleeping in a trailer that has smashed-in windows, is unsafe, is two hours away from my work, which means I struggle to get to work every day.

currently, life is quite challenging, and I find myself in a situation with limited resources. I’m humbly appealing to you all to help me by sharing this, taking action, and spreading awareness about the way children are being treated by the government.

Here’s a suggestion for paraphrasing the original text in a friendly and approachable manner:

‘I’ll continue to put some more stuff out, but, please, I need help.’

Less than 24 hours later, Veal shared another update with a much more hopeful tone.

The actor stated that he had received a phone call from social services, informing him of an arranged meeting the next day, which could possibly lead to him being placed in foster care, along with assistance and necessary resources. As his eyes welled up with tears, he conveyed this information.

It seems like some actions were taken that I’m not fully aware of, but the results have been fantastic for me – they’ve been incredibly beneficial! Now, it appears those actions are being addressed further.

‘They’re actually doing something so God bless you all.’

He added, “‘I’ll keep you updated about the meeting outcome, and there are no guarantees, but it’s the first time I’ve been thought of for accommodations, so thank you, thank you very much. You all are wonderful.’

After sharing his initial video, Jack received a flood of encouraging messages from his followers, many of whom urged: “Let’s all share and comment extensively! We need to rally together and assist him.

“That sounds really tough, Jack. I hope things turn around for you soon.

‘This message is reality. Sharing this and I hope you get the help you need.’

Jack debuted on screen at the age of 10, having been born in 2007, when he starred in the drama movie titled “My Name Is Lenny”.

In that very year, he made an appearance in the crime drama titled “Tin Star,” and the subsequent year, he played the role of Young James across five episodes in the series called “The End of the F-ing World.

He also made an appearance 2018’s The Favourite as well as an episode of Call The Midwife.

In 2019 the rising star had a role in The Corrupted, and in 2020 he appeared in Come Away.

In 2021, he portrayed the youthful counterpart of Tom Hiddleston’s character in the series Loki. His previous on-screen role was in the science fiction show The Peripheral, which premiered the following year.

On November 30th, a video was shared on Instagram by Jack where he discussed his future career aspirations. He clarified that he intends to carry on with acting, while also mentioning that he’s currently working on a fitness-oriented rebrand, but acting will return shortly.

He has also recently posted about being ‘London’s youngest ultramarathon athlete’ and has been offering his services as a personal trainer.

Veal’s TikTok account promotes contributions to the Lost Soul Charity, a non-profit organization dedicated to tackling homelessness. They aim to do this by gathering funds for housing assistance and care support, as well as offering sleeping bags, tents, and food supplies.
