Logan Paul, Coffeezilla and CryptoZoo- What’s going on and a recap

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen more than my fair share of crypto scams and shady deals in the gaming industry. The whole Coffeezilla vs Logan Paul CryptoZoo situation is one for the books. It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion – you can’t look away, but you really want to.

Here’s a recap of the whole Coffeezilla x Logan Paul CryptoZoo situation

The latest twist in the ongoing saga between Logan Paul and Coffeezilla, regarding his CryptoZoo project, has taken an unexpected turn. A year after Coffeezilla first delved into investigating Logan Paul’s CryptoZoo venture, it appears that we are nearing the climax of this story. However, let’s retrace the steps that led us to where we stand now by recapping the events between Logan Paul and Coffeezilla.

Logan Paul and CryptoZoo: What happened?

Our story starts with Logan Paul’s CryptoZoo project. This was an NFT-based crypto project that was advertised as a “really fun game that makes you money”. The game revolved around a cryptocurrency called ZooCoin.

Players can acquire eggs containing a mystery animal hybrid Non-Fungible Token (NFT) by utilizing ZooCoin within the game. The primary action revolves around hatching these hybrid creatures and subsequently selling them to amass more ZooCoin. This additional ZooCoin can then be exchanged for real-world currency. This model, known as play-to-earn, bears resemblance to other games such as Axie Infinity.

Enter Coffeezilla, the Detective

Known online as Coffeezilla, Stephen Findeisen is a renowned crypto journalist with a focus on unmasking various crypto frauds. He produces video content detailing his findings on these scams. Recently, he delved into the intricacies of Logan Paul’s CryptoZoo project by creating a three-part investigative documentary.

Essentially, Coffeezilla uncovered the fact that individuals who supported this game project ended up losing substantial amounts of money. When Logan Paul endorsed CryptoZoo, it appeared to be an exciting new venture, offering players real earnings and backed by a globally influential figure. The game seemed risk-free as all one needed to do was start purchasing eggs. However, the reality proved otherwise.

Those who put money into ZooCoin, eager to hatch their virtual eggs and begin trading, were unfortunately denied the opportunity. From Coffeezilla’s discussions with CryptoZoo investors, it became clear that there was no method available for cashing out the ZooCoin or hatching the eggs that these individuals had heavily invested in.

Although it may appear that Logan Paul has abandoned CryptoZoo, he clarified that the project failed because of unscrupulous individuals who were part of it, leading to its downfall. He emphasized that it was these malicious actors who ruined the project, not him. However, his explanation suggests otherwise.

When Logan found out about it, he asserted that Coffeezilla was leveraging his name for fame. He alleged that Coffeezilla was exploiting the situation for content, making false and damaging statements about Logan Paul’s reputation, and threatened legal action against Coffeezilla.

Following several exchanges between Coffeezilla and Logan Paul regarding the CryptoZoo incident, it appeared that some resolution was in sight. Logan indicated his intention to acknowledge fault, express remorse, and propose a solution for the situation.

Initially, Coffeezilla and the CryptoZoo investors were optimistic about receiving their refunds, but unfortunately, this didn’t materialize. Instead, Logan opted to return only the egg Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT), not the actual ZooCoin. Unfortunately, because these eggs couldn’t be hatched, the amount refunded would only represent a small fraction of Logan’s total earnings. Despite appearing as if it was a positive move, this refund turned out to be misleading.

The condition for agreeing to these terms was that all future legal actions against Logan would be dropped. Additionally, it’s important to note that this “Buy-Back” offer was valid for just a month and the game was never going to be released. Meanwhile, Logan was expressing gratitude towards Coffeezilla for bringing clarity to the situation with his investigation. However, this was just one step in resolving the issue.

One Year later, and where we are now

After a while, on August 6th, Coffeezilla shared a video discussing his ongoing defamation lawsuit. In this latest video, he delved into another investigation involving Logan Paul and suggested that the lawsuit might not be a mere coincidence. The video suggests that the legal action is primarily about Logan avoiding responsibility for the CryptoZoo incident. For now, the story revolves around the pending lawsuit that Coffeezilla plans to contest against Logan Paul.

Instead of repaying his victims in full, Logan prefers to embarrass himself in court by falsely accusing me (Coffeezilla) of slander.
