Lleyton and Bec Hewitt’s Gold Coast Mansion Sold to Secret Buyer After 100 Days on Market!
After much search, the stunning residence of renowned Australian tennis player Lleyton Hewitt and his wife Bec on Queensland’s Gold Coast has been successfully sold to a new owner.
A high-end four-bedroom, three-bathroom property located in Burleigh Heads remained unsold for more than three months until it was recently purchased this week.
43-year-old Hewitt and his actress partner, who is also 41 years old, initially purchased a home with resort-like features for $4.305 million back in 2021.
It was announced by The Courier Mail on Wednesday that an unknown individual purchased the extensive property at auction on January 20th.
Although specifics about the transaction remain private, it’s reported that a confidentiality clause was part of the arrangement.
The property they bought is situated in one of Queensland’s highly desired zip codes; it already included all furniture upon purchase.
Back in September of last year, as a die-hard follower, I couldn’t help but notice that the glamorous duo made a splashy real estate move – they snatched up a stunning residence, a fact reported by Domain! Interestingly, this wasn’t their first time at the property; it was initially bought for a cool $3.57 million in May by someone else. Can’t wait to see what memories they create there!
The unique ambiance and inviting feel of this multi-story establishment is a creation of Gold Coast’s very own interior design studio, Kira Kira, characterized by a blend of cool sophistication, elegance, and warmth.
The architect-designed residence, characterized by its muted, earthy tones, drew inspiration from the luxurious villas reminiscent of Palm Springs in the United States.
Adorned with American oak flooring, the interior boasts a spacious six-meter tall ceiling, reminiscent of an Italian Venetian plaza, complete with terrazzo tiles and striking Santorini stone accent walls.
The area for outdoor fun comes equipped with its very own kitchen, grilling station, refrigerator for cold beverages, a cozy fire pit set slightly below ground level, and a swimming pool as the perfect finishing touch.
The grand bedroom suite located on the upper floor boasts a personal skylight, as well as a freestanding bathtub made of stone, and built-in heating systems for added comfort.
News arises following the sale of their $15.2 million mansion, located in Melbourne’s Toorak, by Bec and Lleyton last November. Subsequently, they relocated to the Gold Coast.
Lleyton Hewitt and his wife, Bec, tied the knot in 2005, and together they have three children: Mia (age 19), Ava (age 14), and Cruz (age 16).
After getting married, they moved along with their kids to the island of Nassau in the Bahamas following the purchase of a villa worth $3.8 million at the Old Fort Bay estate.
Or simply: They bought a villa for 3.8 million dollars on the Old Fort Bay estate in Nassau, Bahamas, and then moved there with their children after getting married.
In the year 2016, the Hewitt family decided to relocate permanently from the Bahamas and return to Melbourne. Exactly one year after, in April 2017, they made another significant move by purchasing their residence in Toorak.
Last year, they temporarily relocated to Sydney due to Bec’s participation in Dancing with the Stars and to avoid the Melbourne COVID-19 lockdown.
Bec is a singer and actress, rose to fame playing Hayley Smith on Home and Away from 1998 to 2005.
Lleyton is a former world No. 1 tennis champion.
At just 20 years old, he became the youngest player to hold the ATP world No. 1 ranking, a feat that remains memorable due to his tenacity and the impressive total of 30 tournament wins throughout his career, including two Grand Slam victories.
After Becc and Lleyton Hewitt, their teenage son continued the legacy started by his renowned dad.
On Saturday at Melbourne Park, the pair attended the inaugural Australian Open match for their sixteen-year-old son, Cruz, seated courtside.
In the initial stage of the boys’ singles competition, Cruz triumphed with a 6-3, 6-3 victory against MooBeen Kim.
Lleyton was absolutely beside himself as Cruz dominated the court.
He put on an aminated display from the crowd while Cruz screamed with joy upon his win.
Meanwhile, at times Bec appeared anxious and at other moments beamed with joy, mirroring the highs and lows she experienced watching her son excel on his journey.
Cruz has been a rising star in the sport, walking in the path set for him by his legendary dad.
2023 saw the Australian tennis ace registering his son at the Rafael Nadal’s tennis school located in Majorca, Spain.
Before that, the family relocated from Melbourne to Sydney, and eventually to the Gold Coast, all in an effort to support young Hewitt’s athletic aspirations.
For a while now, the teenager has nurtured dreams of tennis success. In the year 2021, the Hewitt family moved from Melbourne and spent approximately $4 million to purchase a prestigious mansion in Burleigh Heads, which is located on the Gold Coast.
Daily Mail Australia disclosed that the reason for the move to Gold Coast was a key aspect of the ‘Cruz Mission’, an initiative aimed at nurturing and advancing the budding tennis career of their son, Cruz.
It’s clear that Cruz’s father, Wimbledon champion Lleyton, was attracted to the numerous expansive tennis facilities along the coast, which feature a variety of grass, clay, and hard court surfaces. Additionally, he was drawn to the KDV tennis academy in Carrara, a high-end training facility often referred to as a ‘champion factory’.
