Lizzo’s Weight Loss Secret: Quitting Starbucks and Caffeine
Lizzo finally revealed what she did to lose weight.
On Tuesday, during a live stream on TikTok, the singer, aged 36, opened up about her experience with losing weight while preparing for the day.
Lizzo emphasizes the importance of being mindful about one’s diet, suggesting that her followers should discover their own nutritional strategies.
In her TikTok Live, as reported by People, the artist emphasized that she prefers to steer clear of sweet treats and instead opts for extremely flavorful foods.
One change she made to her diet was giving up her daily Starbucks routine, as she used to consume between two and three large cups of coffee from Starbucks every day.

The artist said that she guessed she was drinking about 1200 calories with those drinks.
In addition, she wanted to quit caffeine in order to ‘regulate’ her nervous system.
Lizzo, who shared in January about a 10.5 reduction in her body weight and losing 16% of her total body fat, mentioned that she continues to enjoy treats, but now pays closer attention to her consumption habits.
She mentioned that she often indulges in something sweet, usually involving carbs. For instance, she prefers almond butter on toast. However, everyone’s body reacts differently, so it’s essential to discover what suits your own individual needs.
she underscored that, from a scientific perspective, what truly works consistently is the concept of ‘energy intake vs. energy expenditure,’ or simply put, ‘consuming more calories than you burn.’
Adding: ‘That’s just how the human body works.’
The Birthday performer mentioned that she needed to begin reducing her caloric intake since she tended to overeat frequently.
She said she uses calorie counting as a ‘tool to fight against the American food system.’

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve incorporated meditation into my daily routine, mainly as a tool to manage and alleviate feelings of anxiety.
For quite some time, I’ve been striving to manage my anxiety effectively. Then, I made a decision: I wish to let go of the past burdens and am prepared to cease delaying, embracing my true self wholeheartedly and aiming for happiness.
She mentioned, “I also practiced meditation for self-calming, and intentionally withdrew from the crowd, not as a form of loneliness or depression, but rather by eliminating distractions.
Instead of finding ways to escape or divert myself, I used to seek solace in people, food, alcohol, and even creating my own problems. I found pleasure in those distractions. However, I decided to change my ways and now concentrate solely on myself.
Lizzo said that the weight loss made her ‘felt lighter, energetically and emotionally.’
Back in January of this year, the artist, who refutes claims of using Ozempic, publicly declared that she successfully reached her desired weight loss target.
On Instagram, she posted: “I accomplished it! Just now, as I weighed myself, I hit my target weight loss mark.
2014 seems to be the last time I encountered that number! May it serve as inspiration, reminding you that with determination and focus, you can achieve anything. It’s high time to set fresh objectives!
