The singer, 37-year-old Melissa Viviane Jefferson, is sporting a new look starting in 2026.

On Friday, Lizzo revealed on TikTok that she’d chopped off her long hair and was now sporting a shorter, curlier look.

Showing the transition, Lizzo wore a black vest and went fresh-faced with her black long locks. 

She then showed off her new style, featuring radiant makeup with shimmering green eyeshadow and bold gold hoop earrings. She also debuted a shorter, curlier hairstyle while snuggling with her dog.

‘2026 is the year of cutting if off ladies,’ she wrote.

Lizzo shared a peek at the process of getting her new hairstyle on Instagram, posting a video of her hairdresser at work.

She recently debuted a new hairstyle, following a post where she proudly displayed her 60-pound weight loss in a bikini to her followers.

She looked incredibly confident, showing off her weight loss in photos she shared on Instagram.

Lizzo slipped into a daring white two-piece for the new pictures.

Lizzo showed off her figure in a bandeau bikini, and her fans loved the photos, with many expressing their admiration.

She captioned the new snaps: ‘My New Year’s resolution is to be a B****.’

Sources close to the star say she is believed to be 60lbs lighter.

Lizzo recently discovered a joke about her weight that was made about her and had already spread widely online – and it was set to appear in the future, in 2025. She felt it was a silly joke and people were simply laughing at her because of her size.

People will criticize you no matter what – if you’re larger, they’ll find something to say, and if you’re smaller, they’ll still find something. Your body doesn’t need to meet anyone else’s expectations – it’s yours, and that’s all that matters.
