Lizzo discusses her ‘complicated relationship’ with food as she reveals how she shed the pounds after weight loss transformation
In a recent video shared on Tuesday, Lizzo openly talked about her challenging journey with food and disclosed her method for losing weight.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d say: At 37 years old, I, too, have embarked on a transformative weight loss journey, and I’m thrilled to share my story with you all. Along the way, I’ve learned about and adopted a new, balanced diet that I’m eager to shed light on.
In an interview for Women’s Health’s Fuel Like feature, Lizzo shared insights about her journey with food: “My approach to eating has undergone significant changes.
We’ve experienced both ups and downs, much like a complex bond. There were instances when I didn’t provide myself with enough nutrients.
At certain moments, I’ve found myself overindulging. However, when I instinctively eat based on what my body signals, it consistently works well for me.
Lizzo openly shared that she experienced a time when her energy levels were extremely low, causing her to resume consuming animal protein.

She mentioned: ‘For some time, I encountered frequent discomfort and problems related to my abdomen.’
As I, a devoted enthusiast, found myself in the gym one day, my dedicated trainer took note of my eating habits and said, “You know what? I strongly recommend adopting a Japanese diet for optimal results.
When I finally got the chance to visit Japan for the first time, I couldn’t help but feel like dipping my toes into the waters of a land renowned for its impeccably clean cuisine.
‘And I started eating animal proteins over there. And I felt incredible.’
Following an open discussion about her health experience, the artist known for “It comes after the About Damn Time” recently shared insights in a candid interview with Women’s Health magazine.
Within the issue, she revealed she’s adopted a high-protein, low-carb diet to help hit her goals.
To kick off her morning, she typically opts for a favorite breakfast consisting of two scrambled eggs, links of poultry sausage, and a side of cauliflower fried into patty form.
At noon, she often chooses between a Thai-style chicken salad made from shredded ingredients or lettuce rolls filled with either tuna or slices of cooked chicken.

Typically, he opts for a turkey meatloaf served with creamy cauliflower mashed potatoes and steamed green beans for his evening meal.
Last week, Lizzo showcased her remarkable weight transformation by posting a pair of unadorned images on Instagram.
The musician posed in selfies taken in front of a mirror, wearing only paper underclothes, as they promoted wellness expert Flavia Lanini publicly.
In her caption, she expressed appreciation for @flavialanini, followed by sharing details about her weight loss progress over the past few months.
She pointed out that the picture on the left shows my initial lymphatic massage given by Flavia, while the one on the right is our most recent session.
Later, the star revealed: ‘ I work incredibly hard, exercising three times a week, using the sauna daily and doing cardio, reintroducing animal protein into my diet, enlisting a chef for meal preparation and monitoring my caloric intake, eliminating sugary drinks from Starbucks, full-fat sodas, and potato chips.’


Lizzo, originally known as Melissa Jefferson, stated that she had abstained from alcohol for a significant period. However, she has since resumed drinking because “I’ve worked hard and I deserve it.
In describing her physical activities, she mentioned that she enjoys playing pickleball, going for hikes and walks on the beach, keeping her body active through various movements, dancing, and staying hydrated by drinking water.
Apart from that, she additionally messaged her approximately 12 million fans, “I undergo detoxing once a month! I also receive holistic body treatments such as wood therapy and lymphatic massages.
‘I’m so happy and proud of what I’ve done and no one can take that away from me.’
