Lizzo Calls Out Andy Cohen for Awkward Romance Reveal in Hilarious Interview!

This week Lizzo was a guest on the latest episode of Andy Cohen‘s self-titled SiriusXM radio show.

During their conversation, the 36-year-old vocalist criticized the 56-year-old influential figure in media for publicly disclosing her romantic relationship with boyfriend Myke Wright earlier.

In response to Andy’s query about whether she was still in love with Myke, she reminded him of their interview in 2022 where he asked a similar question, thus disclosing her romantic situation to the public at that time.

Reflecting on our past encounter, I can’t help but express my strong discomfort. You unintentionally revealed a personal truth about me that day, and it left quite an impact. I must admit, the situation was unexpectedly humorous for some, but not for me.

Andy admitted that he unintentionally made a mistake during the previous interview, owning up to his lack of knowledge on the matter.

‘I outed you,’ he confirmed. ‘Your boyfriend was in the room…’ 

As a die-hard devotee, I’d like to share my perspective on that unforgettable radio incident involving none other than the extraordinary Lizzo, whose given name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson. Three years ago, the world witnessed her remarkable resilience and grace in the face of an unexpected live radio hiccup.

She found herself in an unusual predicament, as they were very secretive individuals. However, with him present, she felt reluctant to decline his request, fearing it might cause him pain or discomfort.

Cohen later asked if his 2022 question caused any problems between Lizzo and her boyfriend.

She mentioned that she and her boyfriend maintained a positive relationship, but added humorously, ‘It stirred up trouble globally, however.’

‘I think when the world sees two happy people, they want to destroy them,’ she mused.

In June 2022, Jefferson and Wright stepped into the public eye for the first time as a pair, having spent several months distancing themselves from the uneasy interview that had taken place prior.

The couple met while hosting MTV’s Wonderland in 2016, and were first spotted together in 2021. 

Lizzo made a triumphant return to the stage last week with a show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

She confessed things got so ‘dark’ for her at times that she started to have suicidal thoughts.

The classically-trained musician explained that they titled their album “Love In Real Life” as approximately one and a half years prior, they found themselves in a profoundly challenging phase – a deep, difficult depression.

She shared that the world had left her devastated and wounded beyond measure, causing her to question her will to live. Furthermore, she felt an overwhelming dread towards people, preferring to remain hidden. However, eventually she managed to conquer that fear.
