Lizzie Cundy seemed very taken with her new boyfriend, American DJ Donald Frieze, as they shared a romantic evening at The Nice Guy restaurant in West Hollywood this week.
The 57-year-old TV star looked glamorous in a sparkly black top and leather mini skirt, and shared some affectionate photos with Donald.
Lizzie beamed as she finished her stylish outfit with a black and white pinstripe blazer and vibrant red and black heels.
Lizzie briefly showed off her fit legs as she carried her belongings in a black, stitched Chanel bag.
It was so lovely to see Lizzie with her new boyfriend last night! He looked really sharp – a simple black sweater and trousers, but he pulled it off perfectly. And the way he had his arm around her? So sweet and genuine, it was clear how much he cares for her.
Lizzie was once married to Jason Cundy, a former English football player. They met at a nightclub in Richmond, London, and got married in 1994.
She then split from Jason in 2012 after discovering his affair with opera singer Hannah Pedley.
I was really moved by Lizzie’s honesty in the BBC documentary, ‘Sex After Celebrity.’ She opened up about how tough it was dealing with all the attention when she was at her most famous, and she talked so candidly about how heartbreaking it was when her marriage fell apart and became public knowledge. It was a really brave thing for her to share.
She described her divorce as a terrible experience, made even worse by the intense public attention it received from the media.
A photo of me in a swimsuit was published, seemingly related to my divorce, and I was completely unaware it existed. Others reacted to it as well, which was surprising to me.
My friends didn’t know how to react, and the other mothers at school would avoid me, seemingly embarrassed to be seen with me.
‘They didn’t really know what to say. So it actually became quite a lonely existence.’
She went on to explain the feeling of not knowing who to believe, even questioning her friends. She wondered if they might have been the source of a story, or how information she’d shared privately could have gotten out.
‘And quizzing and questioning people that you’ve known a lifetime. So that side was awful.’
After her very public divorce, Lizzie struggled to start dating again.
She shared that it’s challenging to start dating again after a very public relationship, because it can be hard to trust people. She admitted she personally struggled with this.
I once went on a date and noticed the guy kept fiddling with his phone, which made me wonder if he was secretly recording our conversation.
‘So I just said it out, “Is your phone on? Are you recording?” And he just went, “Yeah…”‘
She’s enjoying dating now and feels it’s going well, saying things are ‘great’ at the moment.
She later dated rugby player Danny Cipriani and has had other relationships that weren’t widely publicized.
Okay, so, like, he said he’s really into dating right now, which, duh, we knew. But the best part? He’s totally open to long distance! Can you believe it? It’s amazing! Honestly, it just proves he’s perfect, because distance doesn’t matter when you’re meant to be with someone, right? I’m so happy he said that! It’s fantastic!
You can send flirty photos occasionally to keep things exciting. It prevents things from becoming stale or annoying.
Everyone has different strengths, and what you appreciate in a partner can vary. For example, I once dated someone who was great in many ways, but I wished he was more outgoing and enjoyed nightlife more.
Okay, so listen, I’m completely obsessed because I’ve got everything I could ever want. Seriously! There’s the one who’s a total sports fanatic, perfect for game days. Then there’s the foodie, always taking me to the best restaurants. And oh my gosh, another one just always knows how to make me laugh – he’s the best. But let’s just say the last one… well, he definitely knows how to please. I mean, I’ve got all the bases covered, it’s insane!
