Liz McClarnon has welcomed her first child with her husband Peter Cho after years of ‘painful IVF’.
Kerry Katona, 44, revealed she’d given birth to a baby boy in an Instagram post on Sunday. She shared a photo of herself smiling and giving a thumbs-up from her hospital bed.
She announced the birth of her baby boy, sharing that he arrived a bit sooner than expected. While the beginning was a little frightening, everything turned out okay.
I was absolutely thrilled when I heard Liz was pregnant! After twenty years of trying and going through IVF, it’s just… amazing. I’ve been following her journey for so long, and this news in May felt like a dream come true. Seriously, I nearly cried!
Liz and Peter began trying for a baby with IVF four years ago. After three unsuccessful rounds in 2023 and two heartbreaking miscarriages in 2024, they finally received the wonderful news they’d been hoping for.
I was so touched watching her reveal she’s having a baby girl on Loose Women! It was a really emotional moment, and you could just feel how happy she was sharing the news.

After the pre-recorded video about her was shown, Liz came onto the stage, joined the panel, and admitted it had made her emotional. “It actually made me tear up a little bit,” she said.
Jane Moore wanted to find out how far along she was in her pregnancy, so she asked, ‘How far am I?’
Liz shared that she’s about five months pregnant and they’ve found out the baby’s gender – it’s a boy!
We were hoping for a girl, and we had been discussing potential names. We were getting very excited about the possibility.
Earlier in the show, Liz became emotional while explaining why she was upset after watching a clip of herself. She shared, “It’s been really tough, actually.”
It’s odd—talking about it myself feels different than hearing you discuss it as if it happened to someone else. It actually bothered me, like you were talking about a completely different person.
‘Whereas when you deal with it yourself, you’re like “oh, carry on. Let’s do this”.’
Jane Moore wondered if the couple knew they might have trouble getting pregnant before they started trying for a baby.

Liz explained that, given she was over 40 when they met, they decided to visit a doctor to assess their fertility. They wanted to understand their options and where they stood regarding starting a family.
I remember the doctor telling me everything appeared alright, though they did notice some fluid around my ovaries. Because of that, they suggested we go ahead and start some treatments just to be safe.
Liz and Peter, who got married in 2023, shared the exciting news in May with a heartfelt video on Instagram.
In a cute video, Liz was sitting on a park bench when she turned around to show off her baby bump.
In the video, she revealed she’d been hiding something and explained why she hadn’t been very active on social media – it was often difficult for her to appear happy.

After years of challenging IVF treatments and difficult times, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re expecting a baby! It feels like a dream come true.
I tried to explain everything in a video, but I got too upset, so I decided to share the news in writing instead.
It’s hard to believe I’m facing this, knowing so many others have gone through similar—or even more difficult—experiences. ❤️
I’d like to contribute my experiences and support to the community helping others navigate the challenges of IVF and cope with the heartbreak of loss after hoping for so much.
‘I’ve been a part of some beautifully supportive communities. I’m so grateful.’
People quickly began congratulating her online, including her old Atomic Kitten bandmate, Natasha Hamilton.
I’m so incredibly happy for both of you! After everything you’ve overcome, this baby is a dream come true.
Michelle Heaton expressed her joy for the couple, acknowledging the challenges they overcame to reach this happy moment. She sent her love to all three of them.
S Club 7 star Jo O’Meara penned: ‘Awwww this is so lovely! Congratulations darling.’
Liz and her husband, Peter Cho, got married in June 2023, but she waited until their first anniversary to share his identity with her fans.

The singer, who usually keeps her personal life private, shared two photos of her husband on her social media story. This was the first time his face was clearly visible, as previous pictures from their wedding had obscured it with confetti.
Liz shared a photo of Peter enjoying the sunshine and announced their first wedding anniversary with a sweet message: ‘Happy one year to my perfect match, Peter Cho! I love you!’
She followed up with a wedding photo of the couple, showing the bride looking beautiful in a classic gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a full, flowing skirt.
Peter and Liz snuggled close, Peter looking handsome in a black three-piece suit. Liz added a thank you for all the kind messages they’d received.
Liz and her partner got married in the Lake District. Natasha Hamilton, who used to be in Liz’s band, was among the guests.
She announced that she and Peter recently got married, surrounded by their loved ones – including their dog, Bean! She shared a beautiful photo from their special day.

We’re incredibly thankful for everyone who joined us, particularly those who traveled from far and wide – including people from Australia, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Ibiza, and beyond.
Just a quick thank you to my wonderful online friends who figured out it was my birthday! Your kind messages really meant a lot to me.
Just a year after unexpectedly announcing her engagement and wishing her future husband a happy birthday, Liz finally had her wedding.
Okay, I’m losing it! She finally posted a picture with him – her fiancé! It’s not much, just a hug, but it’s EVERYTHING. Honestly, everyone else seems just as shocked as I am, the comments are blowing up! I’ve been stalking her page for ages and this little glimpse is…well, it’s everything I needed. I need to zoom in, analyze every detail…
Her large diamond engagement ring was visible, while she kept the identity of the man a secret.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m literally bursting! She posted the cutest black and white photo and the caption… it just melted me! She said ‘Happy birthday to my future husband!’ Can you believe it?! She’s marrying him! She said he’s the most beautiful human she’s ever known, and honestly? I totally agree. She even put ‘Double yay!’ at the end, she’s so happy and I’m so happy for her! It’s his birthday today and I’m just…screaming internally!
Liz and Lee Ryan, a member of the band Blue, were engaged after dating for about two years. He proposed in 2003.
Their relationship ended soon after, and Liz explained she preferred not dating someone famous.
Following her relationship with Lee, she dated Ryan O’Neill, a rugby player for Harlequins, from 2012 until 2014.
Soon after their breakup, she talked about having children, explaining that she’s always been firm about not wanting to have babies with someone she wasn’t right for.
I didn’t have children because I actively chose not to, even though some assume it was just a matter of circumstance or not meeting the right person.
