Peter Pan is returning to Neverland, but not in the way you think.
The story of Peter Pan began with a play and novel by J.M. Barrie in the early 1900s, and it’s been retold many times since then. Over the years, the characters have changed with each new version, including live-action films like Hook (1991) and the 2003 Peter Pan movie. Tinker Bell first became famous in Disney’s 1953 animated film and has been a popular character in many movies and TV shows for over 70 years.
Disney+ is creating a live-action series about Tinker Bell, currently titled Tink. According to Deadline, the show will be a drama produced by Liz Heldens (known for Deception) and Bridget Carpenter (Freaky Friday). A similar live-action Tinker Bell project was planned in 2015 with Reese Witherspoon set to star, but it was put on hold and revised following changes at Disney.
