Little Mix reunion hopes dashed after Jesy Nelson’s heartbreaking confession in her new documentary

Plans for a Little Mix reunion are now uncertain following Jesy Nelson’s emotional revelations in her recent documentary.

The 34-year-old singer shared last week that she attempted suicide shortly before leaving the hugely successful band in 2020.

In a new documentary on Prime Video, Jesy Nelson shared that she felt incredibly lonely and said her former Little Mix bandmates – Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall – didn’t respond when she reached out for help before her overdose.

This was Jesy’s second suicide attempt, following a previous overdose in 2013, about which she spoke openly in her BBC documentary, Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out.

Leigh-Anne, Perrie, and Jade are said to be upset by Jesy’s recent statements, which have resurfaced painful memories from their shared history.

As a long-time fan, it’s been tough watching everything unfold with Jesy’s revelations. It’s clear her speaking out has really stirred things up for the other girls. The documentary and all the reaction to it have brought a lot of old, painful memories to the surface, and it’s definitely causing some tension.

‘It’s been upsetting for the girls, but they are focused on their solo careers and the future now.’

Jesy Nelson’s recent statements haven’t been publicly addressed by her former Little Mix bandmates. However, during a performance of her song ‘Natural’ on her US tour, Jade Thirlwall became emotional onstage, reportedly because the song is about difficulties in her friendship with Jesy.

The song expresses the difficulty of loving someone who struggles with self-hatred, and acknowledges the toll it takes on the singer’s own well-being to try and support them.

Perrie, who recently had a baby, hasn’t been very active on social media. Her last post was a week ago, sharing news about her new song, “Woman In Love.”

She moved up the release date by four days, having initially planned to launch it on the same day as Jesy Nelson’s documentary.

Leigh-Anne has been sharing updates about her new album, ‘My Ego Old Me To,’ and her current tour on social media.

She shared with her fans how thrilled she is to finally perform the album on stage, calling it a return to what makes her happiest and promising a truly special show.

Daily Mail have contacted Jesy, Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne’s representatives for comment.

In the documentary, Jesy revealed that another member of Little Mix had considered leaving the group before she made her own decision to leave – and now it appears we know who that member was.

The singer was shocked by the decision of one band member to leave, and she thought everything was going well with the group at the time.

Five years ago, reports surfaced suggesting Perrie Edwards initially considered leaving the band, and Jesy Nelson’s recent statements seem to support that story.

Jesy revealed that one of her previous bandmates – either Perrie, Leigh-Anne, or Jade – had considered leaving the group back in early 2020.

In a new documentary on Prime Video, Jesy shared that she believed everything was going well, but she realized she was mistaken.

‘We got called in for a meeting and I just had this gut feeling that it wasn’t going to be good.

One of the band members quit, and it felt like my world was collapsing at the time.

It was a really sad day – me and Jade really cried. I was devastated.’

When asked which Little Mix member was involved, she responded that she couldn’t reveal it because the person hadn’t publicly confirmed it themselves.

It’s been difficult keeping quiet about everything. I truly believed we would stay together for life, and I definitely didn’t want to be the one to end things.

Okay, so Little Mix breaking up was always going to happen, but honestly, it was the way it happened that was so awful. Jesy said it got really complicated when they had to delay the split for two whole years because of COVID. Can you imagine? Two more years of pretending everything was fine when it wasn’t? It just made everything messier and more drawn out, and it was heartbreaking to watch.

She quickly realized she was unhappy and had already stopped being emotionally invested in the group.

In the documentary, Jesy explained that she reached a breaking point, realizing she couldn’t continue. She remembers thinking she simply couldn’t endure another two years.

I sensed our dynamic with the girls had changed. I often found myself crying and feeling really awful. All those small frustrations just kept accumulating until I finally reached my limit.

Oh my gosh, I just heard something huge! Apparently, back in 2021, someone told The Sun that Perrie actually confided in the management way back in 2019 that she was thinking about leaving. Two whole years before everything happened! It’s just… mind-blowing to think she was feeling that way for so long, and we had no idea. I’ve been following her forever, and it’s so sad to realize she was quietly struggling with it for that long.

As someone who keeps a close eye on the entertainment world, I’ve learned Perrie actually considered leaving Little Mix back in 2019. It got serious enough that she brought it up to the group, which then led to a meeting with their management to discuss everything.

Eventually, she decided it wasn’t the right moment, and they discussed the Confetti tour, which had been put on hold because of Covid. It was understood that Perrie planned to leave the group after the tour finished.

The group first became well-known on the show The X Factor in 2011, and quickly rose to become a hugely popular girl group, selling more than 75 million records around the world.

In 2020, after nine years with the group, Jesy Nelson left Little Mix, explaining that she needed to focus on her mental and emotional health.

Jesy left the group in November 2020 because she was struggling with the pressure. She was upset that her lawyer informed the other members about her departure before she could tell them herself.

She added: ‘I think they felt really hurt about that and it should never have played out like that.

I wasn’t given a chance to explain why I had to stop, and it really frustrates me that I couldn’t.

She shared that when discussing the band’s breakup, her former Little Mix members would only communicate with her while a therapist was present. She expressed a desire to address and correct any untrue stories circulating about the split.
