Little-known detail about Rebecca Judd’s very youthful mother Kerry Brown as she shares inside her life in the Pilbara which is VERY different to her glamorous daughter
As a devoted fan, I am constantly in awe of Rebecca Judd’s glamorous lifestyle and stunning appearance. But what truly fascinates me is the stark contrast between her world and that of her mother, Kerry Brown.

Her mother, Kerry Brown, who is well-known to be the mum of the famed Melbourne-based daughter, might come as a shock to her fans due to living a vastly different lifestyle.
In the late 1970s, Bec’s 62-year-old mother, who is Maori and born in New Zealand, along with her then-husband Hugh Twigley, relocated to Australia to capitalize on the prosperous mining industry in Western Australia.
She is a FIFO employee, working at Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine in the Pilbara area of Western Australia, which means she flies in for work and then flies out when her shift is over.
Kerry regularly shares photos of her life driving dump trucks in the mines on social media.
She wrote: “I’m going to take this tough challenge on. I’ll shift some obstacles, and keep Australia progressing.”
Additionally, she frequently shares joyful self-portraits on social media with her FIFO team members, unwinding with beverages following a challenging workday.
Speaking of her mum’s profession last year, Bec expressed eager interest and praised Kerry’s work.

Although Kerry’s lifestyle is quite different from Bec’s luxurious life in Melbourne’s exclusive suburb of Brighton, she frequently goes to visit her daughter, son-in-law Chris Judd, and grandchildren during vacations. At times, she even accompanies the family on their opulent trips to the mountains.
Bec strongly resembles her mom, who possesses breathtaking beauty and an impressive physique that defies age.
Kerry, being a mom to Kate Twigley as well, acknowledged the value of keeping in touch with her loved ones digitally and via social media.
In her conversation with Stellar, Kerry shared that working from a distant place makes her feel disconnected, but she enjoys staying updated on her family’s activities through their Instagram posts.
“Despite being pressed for time ourselves and dealing with the time difference, social media proves to be a valuable tool.”
Prior to starting her First In, First Out (FIFO) job, this mother of two had experience in television. She held part-time positions as both a director’s assistant and unit manager.
After her divorce from Hugh, who was involved in mining like herself, at the age of four, Bec chose to pursue a new career.
“The first memory I have is of the day mum left. I was with dad at the time, and he was weeping. That’s hard to believe, isn’t it? Bec shared this on The 3pm Pick-Up in 2020.”
Previously, the ex-weather presenter at 9News shared that her parents’ divorce left a deep mark on her personal experiences.
As an obsessed fan, I can’t help but feel a deep connection to Rebecca’s story. In an interview with Sunday Life magazine back in May 2019, she shared her feelings about her childhood: “Growing up, I deeply resented the fact that my parents weren’t together. It left a void in my heart that I longed to fill.”
‘Everyone else seemed to have mum and dad living together… I would see dad at weekends.’
After my parents’ divorce, my sister Kate and I moved in with our mom and her new beau. It was a significant change for us, but as an ardent fan of my family’s wellbeing, I embraced the shift and did everything in my power to make it work.
She would visit her father and stepmother during the school holidays because they lived regionally.
She explained, “As a child, I didn’t want to stand out from the crowd. But it was exactly that uniqueness which set me apart.”
Currently, Rebecca is blissfully wedded to former AFL star Chris Judd. They are parents to four kids: Oscar, who’s 12 years old, Billie, 9, and the twin brothers Tom and Darcy, both turning 7 this year.
The family resides in a luxurious $7.3 million mansion situated in the affluent area of Brighton, which is located in Melbourne’s southeastern part.
