Little Big Adventure 2 Remake
2.21, the studio responsible for the recent remake of “Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest,” released in December, has disclosed that they will be focusing on a remake of “Little Big Adventure – Purple Empire” next. This is a remake of the 1997 sequel titled “Little Big Adventure 2 – Twinsen’s Odyssey.”
2.21 CEO and co-founder Ben Limare stated, “The response to Twinsen’s Quest shows that this universe continues to strike a profound chord.” Moving forward, he added, “With Purple Empire, we’re aiming to delve even deeper.”
Didier Chanfray, who is both a co-creator and the art director, will work collaboratively with 2.21 to create the game. This collaboration aims to breathe life into locales from the original series such as Emerald Moon and the alien world of Zeelich. The remake guarantees fresh artistic direction and upgraded gameplay mechanics, all while retaining the quirky essence that characterized the 1997 version.
Chanfray stated, “We’re not creating an exact copy of the past; instead, Purple Empire is a fresh take that preserves the essence of the game while moving it forward. As an independent team, our loyalty lies with the game itself, the players, and the enduring legacy we contribute to building.
The game titled “Little Big Adventure – Purple Empire” hasn’t set a release date as of now, but it’s planned for both consoles and PC platforms. A crowdfunding campaign has begun on Ko-fi, where contributors can secure early access to bonus content, behind-the-scenes developer updates, and other community perks.
