Lisa Snowdon celebrates her 10 year anniversary with fiancé George Smart with a slew of loved-up snaps as she candidly admits ‘it’s not all been easy’

Lisa Snowdon and her fiancé, George Smart, recently celebrated their 10th anniversary together. She shared a sweet message on social media to mark the special occasion.

The couple, a 53-year-old model and a 44-year-old communications firm founder, initially began dating over two decades ago. At the time, she worked as a DJ at MTV while he was in charge of events for the network.

Despite initial difficulties, they found their way back to each other in 2015, and George proposed just two years later.

Lisa proved they’re still deeply in love, posting a collection of photos on Instagram Thursday that looked back at their relationship over the last ten years.

The photos captured the couple’s adventures around the world, showing them having fun and often dressing up in creative outfits. This included elaborate steampunk costumes with feathered capes, and even playful matching chicken suits complete with slippers and hats.

Alongside photos documenting their relationship, Lisa acknowledged things hadn’t always been simple, but excitedly shared her hopes for many more years together.

The TV presenter recently revealed she had some doubts about marrying George, eight years after they first became engaged.

Okay, so she finally talked about getting married, and honestly, it’s a little worrying. She said she’s just…slightly hesitant, because she’s afraid it’ll change things between them. Like, of course it’ll change things, but she seems genuinely scared of that change! It’s like she loves what they have right now and doesn’t want to mess it up, which, I get, but still…it’s a little heartbreaking to hear, you know?

In a February interview with The Mirror, she admitted that while she believes a commitment wouldn’t ultimately work, she worries about repeating her parents’ experience with divorce. She’s heard advice against it, with people warning that it can fundamentally alter a relationship.

Okay, look, I’m pretty sure absolutely nothing would be different, but there’s this little, tiny part of me – I can’t shake it – that wonders… maybe, just maybe, things could be different. It’s probably crazy, but I can’t help but think about it!

Oh my gosh, George just said he’d marry Lisa tomorrow if all their friends, who are literally everywhere, could just be there! He didn’t even hesitate! It’s so sweet, he’s totally head over heels and just wants everyone he loves to share the moment with them. I’m seriously melting!

He stated he doesn’t believe things will improve and is prepared to be bold enough to move forward.

Lisa shared that she’s most excited to finally be able to call her partner ‘my husband.’ She loves the sound of it and can’t wait to say things like, ‘My husband is on his way!’ She definitely prefers ‘husband’ to ‘fiancé’ and is really looking forward to using the term.

The former Britain’s Next Top Model contestant has previously shared that she experienced early menopause and has accepted that she and George will not be able to have children naturally.

She explained to The Sun in 2021 that they had talked about having children but hadn’t begun trying, so she understood they might need to consider other paths to parenthood if they still wanted a family.

George handled the situation really well and suggested we could explore other options later. It just took some time to process everything.

Lisa became famous very quickly after being discovered as a model at the age of 19. She soon became popular in the high-fashion world and appeared on the covers of many leading magazines.

Before becoming a familiar face on television – hosting shows like Britain’s Next Top Model and co-hosting the Capital FM London Breakfast Show – she first gained experience leading significant campaigns.
