Lisa Rinna names and shames ‘biggest bully in Hollywood’ and claims her life became ‘a living hell’ on set of hit show

In her new memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Lisa Rinna claims a former colleague is “Hollywood’s biggest bully.”

Although many expected Lisa Rinna, 62, to reveal a fellow cast member from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as the person she disliked working with, she surprised everyone by saying her worst experience happened in the early 1990s while filming Days of Our Lives.

Rinna, known for her role as Billie Reed on the soap opera, revealed that her on-screen boyfriend, Bo Brady—played by Robert Kelker-Kelly—made her time on the popular show very difficult.

‘Behind-the-scenes we hated each other,’ she wrote in the book. 

You might recall Kathy Hilton calling me Hollywood’s biggest bully, but that’s just not accurate. I actually know who the real bullies are here, and Robert Kelker-Kelly is definitely one of them.

Working with him on ‘Days’ was a terrible experience. He treated me badly, and I would describe his behavior as verbally abusive. He was often passive-aggressive, controlling, and seemed to enjoy playing mind games.

She explained that working with him was difficult, as they frequently filmed intimate scenes together. She felt pressured to comply with his demands because he would stop speaking to her if she didn’t.

Working with him was like walking on eggshells. You never knew what mood he’d be in – sometimes friendly and approachable, other times withdrawn and difficult. His unpredictable behavior was draining to be around.

Rinna felt a sense of relief when the actor suddenly departed, and Peter Reckell – who famously played Bo Brady from 1983 to 1992 – took his place.

She stated that after his departure, both she and her co-star Kristian Alfonso, who played Hope Brady—Kelker-Kelly’s other romantic partner—were given a security detail by NBC. However, she didn’t believe he posed any real danger and felt the security was an overreaction.

She claims he vanished from the set of “Days” one day, and shortly after, Kristian and she were assigned full-time security.

I wasn’t afraid of being physically hurt, but NBC was being overly cautious. For three weeks, they hired security to watch our homes and trailers, and we even had to be driven to and from work.

NBC declined to respond when reached for comment. Kelker-Kelly has also been contacted for comment.

Oh my god, Rinna as Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives was EVERYTHING! She was seriously iconic from ’92 to ’95, and I was devastated when she left. I mean, how could they replace perfection? They brought in Krista Allen, which… honestly, it just wasn’t the same. Nothing could ever compare to Rinna’s Billie!

After leaving Days of Our Lives in 1995, Kelker-Kelly continued to thrive as a soap opera actor, appearing in both Another World and General Hospital for many years.

He later left Hollywood to become a professional pilot and flight instructor. 

As someone who follows celebrity stories closely, I can tell you this isn’t the first time Rinna has opened up about her difficult experience with Kelker-Kelly. She’s talked about it before, and her new book simply adds to that ongoing conversation.

In a 2015 interview with Bravo, Rinna admitted she strongly disliked Robert Kelker-Kelly, saying she ‘hated him with a passion!’

She explained that he intensely disliked her, and their relationship was explosive. Despite this, they appeared to have great chemistry on screen, which she attributed to their acting skills.

Following her role on Days of Our Lives, Rinna joined the cast of Melrose Place for its last three seasons.

Honestly, I was SO thrilled every single time she came back to Days of Our Lives! It wasn’t just once, you know? She’d reappear, and it was like the show was complete again. I remember being ecstatic when she returned in 2002, then again in 2012, and I nearly lost it when she was back on my screen in 2018! Each return felt like a gift.

Rinna also starred in the short-lived spin-off series Days Of Our Lives: Beyond Salem in 2021. 

She was most recently seen starring in season four of The Traitors.
