Linkin Park's massive 2025 tour taps Queens of the Stone Age for Dodger Stadium show

As a seasoned concert-goer who has witnessed the rise and fall of many iconic bands, I must say that Linkin Park’s comeback tour is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Having grown up listening to their music during my teenage years, it’s heartening to see them back on the stage with such vigor and enthusiasm.

Linkin Park is expanding its comeback tour, taking their From Zero road show across the globe.

As a dedicated moviegoer, I’m thrilled to share that the Agoura Hills rap-rock band, who reemerged in September with Emily Armstrong stepping into the role previously held by the late Chester Bennington, has announced plans to extend their tour right up to 2025! They’ve revealed a series of stadium and arena stops, spanning continents and reaching North America, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. It’s going to be an unforgettable ride!

On January 31st, the musicians behind the hits “In the End” and “Numb,” who are releasing their new album “From Zero” this Friday, will kick off the next phase of their tour in Mexico City. For that show and several others, AFI, a rock band from Northern California, have been announced as special guests. Other opening acts include Queens of the Stone Age, who will perform just once, Spiritbox, a heavy metal rock band from Canada, Architects from Britain, singer Grandson, experimental pop artist Jean Dawson, rapper JPEGMAFIA, and pop group PVRIS.

The 59-date tour includes three stops in California as well as stops in New York, Paris, London and and Rio. The band will play Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Sept. 13, the SAP Center in San Jose on Sept. 15 and the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Sept. 17. The tour also runs through several music festivals and will include stops at Sick New World in Las Vegas, I-DAYS in Italy and Novarock in Austria.

Due to health issues with lead vocalist Josh Homme, Queens of the Stone Age have decided to cancel all their remaining shows in August for 2024. However, they are still scheduled to perform only at Dodger Stadium, where they’ll be accompanied by JPEGMAFIA. Meanwhile, JPEGMAFIA is also set to play at other California stops on their own.

Following the Mexico tour kickoff, the band plans to perform in Japan, Indonesia, and various cities across the U.S. and Canada. After that, Europe is up next on their itinerary, followed by a return to North America for numerous shows. Subsequently, they’ll continue their journey through South America before wrapping up the tour in November 2025 with four performances in Brazil.

Linkin Park, now made up of Armstrong, rapper-producer Mike Shinoda, guitarist Brad Delson, DJ Joe Hahn, bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, and new drummer Colin Brittain, started a series of concerts in the fall. They introduced their revamped lineup with a Sept. 11 performance at Inglewood’s Kia Forum, followed by a mini-tour around the world. This platinum-selling rock band made a powerful return seven years after the death of Chester Bennington by suicide in 2017, which had previously caused the group to fall silent. Shinoda stated that their new material is about their past, present, and future, allowing them to revisit their signature sound while still feeling fresh and vibrant.

Live Nation’s 2024 arena tour was incredibly popular, leading to extra concerts being added in Paris, Dallas, and two in São Paulo. The performances have featured songs spanning Linkin Park’s 17-year discography along with their recent hits “The Emptiness Machine” and “Heavy Is The Crown,” off the album “From Zero.

Speaking in a statement, Shinoda expressed that hitting the road again has been simply amazing. The fans’ backing is astounding, and we’re geared up to amplify this enthusiasm globally. ‘From Zero’ marks a fresh start for us, and we can hardly wait to unveil it on a larger scale to everyone.

Linkin Park’s fan club presale for their LP Underground begins on November 18. The general sale starts on November 21 in North America, and on November 22 in Europe and the United Kingdom. More information about ticketing and venues for South America and Jakarta will be announced soon, as stated by Live Nation. You can find all the tour dates on the band’s official website.
